I think maybe I touched off that argument on this thread a couple weeks ago (my bad)... but i totally agree with you. I think this sounds great. most modern rock albums are gonna sound huge and punchy, and this while this does, its not done in a distracting way at all to me on these songs.

ALSO, I'd love to see the original photo of this piano on the cover art. my brain cant comprehend how that piano on the artwork is an actual photo.

 

I’ll say that pairing the title “Better Days” with a photograph of your child’s little piano hits pretty damn hard as a father myself.

 

The cover certainly looks like a photo. Maybe AI has warped people's perception of what's real and what's not.

Does the toy piano make an aural cameo on the album?

 

absolutely. it makes sense that we're all a bit wary now, but there's really nothing in this image that actually looks like AI.

 

Now a photo of you playing this supposed toy piano while holding a piece of paper with handwritten lyrics on it so we know that this isn’t also AI.

 

It's the shadows by the legs, which are a bit different than the original picture. But hearing the backstory, I really like it—our daughter is coming up on 18 months and we have a similar pink piano for her. Needless to say: these days have been sweet.

I love the direction they went with this. Hope this stays with the rest of the album

 

These songs are incredible, so happy to have new music from Yellowcard in 2025. I need this record now!!
