Yellowcard has made multiple albums that were considered "more challenging" over the years and did a whole support tour where they played largely deep cuts. It would be a wild time to start trying to sell out.
people don't even know what selling out is anymore. what do you mean releasing crappy songs just for money. why would they make money if they're crappy
I bet that person's next sentence would have been "They stopped being good after One For The Kids anyway."
Bands should definitely not be profitable and their members should live in squalor. Also, all releases should leak months ahead of time. Am I good at businessing?
MUSIC SHOULDNT BE ABOUT BUSINESS!!! IT SHOULD BE ABOUT FRIENDS WANTING TO CREATE ART, BRO. AS SOON AS MONEY GETS IN THE CONVERSATION, ART IS DEAD!!!!
My 8 year old (who legitimately wouldn’t exist without Yellowcard) asked Alexa to play “Only One” the other night and let me tell you, that’s a weird ass reality check. One of these days we’ll explain the lore to him and blow his mind.
Apologies for this if you’ve seen it but I still think about what she meant by this and what she’s up to now. Warped 2004, Cleveland. She kept hanging around the YC booth trying to get noticed. Always makes me laugh.
no no, that doesn’t mention William. She must mean some OTHER Ryan. In all seriousness, my kid’s looking forward to his first YC show. Hoping something turns up around Orange County, he’s going to lose it. Of all places, he heard a weird chiptune “Only One” in Roblox and asked us if we liked this song. If he only knew the days of the ol’ YCMB.
I had a whole Fall Out Boy song title joke lined up until I remembered that’s an actual Midtown song. same same.
