i saw simple plan in 2016, hit the lights and story untold opened, this girl next to me took thousands of photos of just pierre and then after they played i'm just a kid she dipped, and as you can see they played more afterwards Simple Plan Concert Setlist at House of Blues, Chicago on October 16, 2016 | setlist.fm ima guess the tickets were around 30-40 as HOB shows generally are, but i always thought that was odd, just photograpghed the singer, sang two songs, and left. no reaction througthout the rest of the set despite taking pictures
I'll defer to you, given that you certainly had the better vantage point! It felt like a large exodus from the area I was in and it bummed me out, but I'm glad it didn't look that way. Thanks for a heck of a set.
2 nights left on this run. Just wanted to stop in and say thank you for all of the love and support. Whether you’ve attended a show or not, the vibe in here has been so positive and all the parts have made something more whole than we’ve ever had as a band. Looking forward to the future.
stoked to have y’all back! Good times in Worcester. Looking forward to whatever is next. Enjoy the rest of the run!
So happy to have finally seen you guys on this tour. Exceeded my expectations. Can’t wait for what’s next!
Had tickets to AAR/NFG in Boston (my reasoning for attending Worcester over Portland), but I've been exhausted this week and have another trip to Boston for MO/Jimmy next week, so, I sold off my tickets and am gonna make a last minute (much shorter) trip down to Portland to see this tour again. Excited to see the last stop!
I am so excited to support these guys and this band for so many years to come. The vibe around the shows and music this summer is the best I can remember in the last 20 some-odd years of being a fan. We brought so many friends to the show in NYC and they are *all* still talking about it and waiting to hear what’s next. That is so cool to me. It still just seems surreal - can’t imagine how it must feel for the guys in the band. What a time. I hope everyone involved in this tour knows how awesome it was, and can get some well needed rest after tonight’s final show. Will be waiting patiently for whatever is next!!
It's truly been such a joy to have new music and shows from Yellowcard, especially during the summer. Cannot wait to see what's next, but in the meantime, I'll be keeping Childhood Eyes on repeat!
I think my friend who I brought to the Worcester date (very casual fan, live show first-timer) is now a full fledged fan after seeing the show
So happy I wound up landing at the Portland show on Friday. It was a great time, all the bands sounded even better, and the little shenanigans everyone pulled for the last show made it even more special. Also loved hearing Ryan shout out the last Portland show way back on the Lift a Sail tour, which, despite the poor attendance, was also awesome. I felt so bad that night, but to their credit, they knocked it out of the park. In their defense, there was an insane rain storm that whole night and the roads were awful. I’m sure that contributed. Regardless, from 300-400 to 3000 or more is so cool. It was so cool to see a band headline an arena show in Portland again. Took me back to the days of Green Day, MCR, and FOB in the same building.
“Hiding in the Light” might be my favorite individual track since Southern Air. “Fragile and Dear” right up there too. Kind of wild to think about. What a sick song.
I was listening to Lift a Sail yesterday, it's become kind of a late summer staple for me. Semi-annual post to say One Bedroom/Fragile and Dear is an incredible back-to-back combo.
My good friend Gerry Trevino and I spent the better part of this year working on putting together an Ocean Avenue medley for the 20th anniversary of the album. We had initially planned to release this on the same weekend as the 20-year mark in July, but of course life got in the way. We're extremely proud of how this turned out, and we hope anyone who watches it enjoys. All credit goes to Gerry for the planning, development, song order choice, recording and editing...I 'm just the goof who plays drums.
