The mark, mission, brand, scar call-out in the intro track is fun. Can't wait to see what they can pull out for a full-length. I'm not sure we'll be lucky enough for another round of leaning into the explosive PW era; but damn - think i'll play this into the ground well before then.
i work essentially outside and i haven't done jack shit today and i am pouring sweat lol. wish i was going tonight but we got jax night 2 tickets..leaving after work tomorrow i'm super stoked.
Goodness. This rips so hard. Three Minutes More is such a great song. But Honest from the Jump just does it for me. Top to bottom some of their best stuff. Can't wait for the full length that will seemingly follow.
I thought Honest from the Jump was a cover at first, because I knew I'd heard that chorus before. Just now realized is was from one of the songs on Ryan's solo EP. Amazing chorus and very solid EP.
Long shot but anyone need a last minute ticket(s) to ATL? Some friends fell through, hit me up if so! Will part for nothing. Sorry if this not allowed per the forum rules can delete if so.
Hahaha. It’s 3 bars of 3/4 and 2 bars of 4/4 in the verses. It’s the 3rd bar of 3/4 that messes with your head.
Good god this EP is exactly what I needed right now. Bravo to the band. Man, I'm so excited for what's to come.
I can’t believe I’m in a 7k capacity amphitheater to see a Yellowcard show. Completely surreal. They have to be on cloud 9 right now and they deserve every bit of it. LET’S GO!!!
Was Hiding in the Light somewhat crafted from parts written back in the day? It’s insane how nostalgic this entire EP of NEW music makes me feel lol.
I thought during the stream Sean said he had the bulk of it written years ago (to shop around to other artists) but I also thought he said it was from around the time of the self-titled/hiatus. So kinda old but not that old lol.
Pretty crazy to think I'm 33 now and have been listening to Yellowcard consistently since I was a freshman in high school. The only band I can say that about. Also impressive that after about 20 years, Hiding in the Light and The Places We'll Go are up there with some of the bands best releases ever imo. So good to have these guys back, hope they stick around this time.
I had a tear in my eye midway through my first listen to the The Places We’ll Go. This EP is simply phenomenal
What a beautiful EP. I’m happy this band is back and releasing some of their best material. I really hope we get a tour supporting this album next year. The OA tour isn’t coming to Portland and I’d absolutely kill to hear this thing live.
