Gotcha, well now I know. Thanks for sharing and a reminder of what Ryan said about it is probably not the worst thing anyway

Has Ryan or any of the guys ever done a career retrospective podcast or video interview before? I just listened to the Ben one and I don’t know if I realized that Sean O’Donnel was writing songs with Ryan or in their local scene when the band was forming.

ah yah i don't listen to either of those bands, i used to work at FYE and their artwork always caught my eye, i thought it was gonna be more like 30STM/muse/AVA but it sounded like what i said before. to each their own of course:thumbup:

Aw man, are they dropping "For You and Your Denial"? Cuz that would be a bummer.

From the set? Please noooo, it's one of the songs my kid is most looking forward to hearing! Hopefully it's at least in tonight.

Doesn't seem to be on the last few dates, hopefully that turns around. Set is still solid regardless though.

The tour poster and merch for this tour have been absolutely incredible. The artist did an unbelievable job.

I have a feeling it was getting tight with time. They mentioned on two shows in the last week that the venues had strict curfews so they couldn’t talk as much as they would have liked. It sucks to lose the song, but I do enjoy the band interacting and talking a bit too as opposed to barely at all.

Oh snap, I didn't notice. Glad I didn't say anything lol. I saw it on the first couple of dates and just figured it was no changes/surprises. But yes absolutely, solid set list for sure. (wouldn't mind hearing Salesman though #justsayin)

They were amazing at Slam Dunk, but man that setlist from July 5-6 is my dream!

I was pumped for that song, and only just now realized they skipped it at my date. Prob because the rest of the setlist was that hype.

This is a bait and switch. They don’t play the full album except at festivals. They have two sets of music. Songs like Miles Apart, 23, Life of a Salesman and a view from Heaven would slap in the crowds they are playing for

Man this conversation is absolutely exhausting. It's not a bait and switch of any kind. Ryan said in here literally five days after the tour was announced that they weren't playing Ocean Avenue in full and never intended to. If you want to see them play Ocean Avenue in full, they're playing several festivals just this year alone.

i think it threw a lot of people off calling the tour celebrating 20 years of ocean avenue but not playing the album in full, i didn't care either or once i saw the ticket prices :anguish:

I get that you’re a fan of the band but billing it this way is not it. It comes across as a marketing ploy to get people here. I’ve seen them before this tour and they’ve added a few songs but to call it a celebration not play 5 of the songs is disingenuous no matter how much you like them.

I get that you think you’re cool. But this is super lame. Can you only celebrate an album by playing all the songs? Is that really the only way you can think of in your head? Come on.

I don’t comment in this thread enough to have seen this so I stand corrected. For somebody that isn’t here as often it felt off after especially starting with the first two songs on the album.

I would have loved to see Ocean Ave in full electric, since I only ever saw it acoustic. However, I don’t know how anyone could complain on the set they are playing. I would have a hard time cutting any of these songs for more OA.

I’ve not seen them play those songs before and was excited to see them. Sorry that bothered you to comment in public forum.

They've already said so many times on various platforms that they aren't playing it in full.

Celebrating an album doesn't mean playing the entire album front to back every night, don't be dense
