I might actually prefer it over Southern Air, to be honest. I don't know though, could have been just that it came out at a particular time in my life (college) where it just worked better for me. I did most of my listening of Southern Air while working nights at a grocery store, unfortunately. haha.
Southern Air may have higher highs; but WYTTSY has literally zero low points for me. Consistent banger after banger.
Doing a full discog run today, and on L&S this was WAYYY ahead of its time sure thing falling goes so hard, forgot how much I loved that one
Sincerely love when older vinyl include download cards, but I ripped the CD onto my computer way back in 2016. For anyone who hasn’t dived into Yellowcard’s self-titled “final album”, I hope you enjoy.
the one i got with lift a sail didn’t work because the site/service the download was through shut down lol. Already had the digital files from the cd but i was curious to see if it would work. My vinyl copy of self titled is coming tomorrow!
Ah damn. Well hopefully this one works for someone. I know those two albums are from different labels. Did you get Lift a Sail recently? Looking to track that one down.
yeah just came the other day. Was lucky to get it at the price I did. Seems super expensive otherwise. Now i feel like i might as well complete the collection with WYTTSY and Lights and Sounds lol.
Very nice! Yeah it’s pretty pricey everywhere I looked. Should have gotten that one back in the day when it was easily accessible. Oh yeah, you gotta get WYTTSY and L&S. Was so happy when they recently repressed L&S. Now just waiting for Paper Walls to get a repress. That’s the holy grail I don’t have on vinyl that’s already been released on the format haha
Cross posted from the EP thread - but an announcement in the Yellowcard discord says that the EP release has been pushed back to July 21st, 2023.
I have one GA ticket available to the sold out Boston show. Asking face value. I will transfer via email. Just DM me if interested.
Always Summer and Here I Am Alive are bangin singles. Telescope was always a lowkey favorite of mine from SA. To me, it could fit on L&S.
LP posted a play through of ocean avenue on his instagram today. In the comments he mentioned he wished he was still in yellowcard and would do anything to play with them again, even play for free if he had to. I really wonder happened there, seems like he wishes he never left the band.
