Track 3 is a monster. Really enjoyed the single and the closer. Need more time with 1 and 4, but both great. Hell to the yes.
This Ep is incredible, tracks 3+4 especially. This isn’t going to leave my car speakers until 2024 at the earliest
100%, they are also recorded incredibly well. Best the drums have sounded on a YC record since Southern Air.
I think I remember reading for the self titled, they recorded the cymbals separately from the rest of the drums, maybe they did that here as well.
I've always said they are one of the most consistent bands with great release after great release. This is no different. I was in awe thinking how they crushed it after every song. I'm so happy to have them back and even with new music that is immediately right there with their best!
He legit made me laugh all night. The part where Sean was going off on him for being super cocky was hilarious
Oh man since I missed the stream I think I'm gonna try to hold out for the EP release. Love the excited reactions in here though
I fucking love this band.Had to go to bed after the 3rd song but I absolutely LOVED every single one of them.Cant fucking wait and also that production is just beautiful, literally some Jerry Finn level! Also Ryan Mendez is fucking riot lol.I really want to try and catch the show in Boston. Also Childhood Eyes??Just Bravo!B R A V O!
So back in 2013 I was in my second year of uni and made friends with someone who was a huge Yellowcard fan. I was always partial to them in high school, ended up really getting into them that year (2013, coincided with their acoustic Ocean Avenue tour). When they came to my city, I actually went to the airport (very cringe) to meet them and got them to sign a copy of the album for my friend and asked Ryan K to make it out to her. Needless to say, she was overjoyed and it's probably the best birthday present I've ever given to anyone. About a year later we had a falling out (completely my fault) and we didn't speak for a bit, which hurt because she was probably the best friend I've ever had. We sort of patched things up very slightly, but then she moved for work and left in a hurry and we went back to not speaking and not having any sort of friendship, aside from the off birthday post on Facebook. At the start of this year, she messaged me wanting to catch up - having moved back about 18 months ago - and so we got a drink and we've pretty much picked up where we left off. We message each other multiple times a week, share music memes, and talk Yellowcard a lot. It's been by far the highlight of my 2023. There's obviously no correlation between Yellowcard releasing new music and us being close friends again, but it's so nice that Yellowcard brought us close in the first place, and now, after eight years of not speaking, we're back talking the year Yellowcard really begin to come back. Please feel free to ignore above emotional, sappy post.
