Yeah that might be for the best. Thrice didn't just play the top voted songs overall, they did the top voted songs from each album I think that way all albums are played instead of just the top voted one.
Despite going to that tour, I don't remember getting in on the voting at all. That sounds like a good way to do it, though.
Yeah, they did it on their website. On the live cd they released of their farewell tour, before Daedalus Dustin says he's glad people voted for it. Also he says before In Exile that the crowd voted for this set so no complaining. I remember spamming the hell out of Under a Killing Moon. I can't say it didn't work
Sad to see YC go, but they have given more than enough new music since coming back from hiatus. Bummed the last time they will be coming to Cleveland will be during Warped Tour. Between work and marathon training, it's unlikely I will get to see them live again. Thanks for the memories and good music!
It would be an awesome surprise. They played it on their reunion/WYDTSY tour and instead of playing piano bridge, Ryan did some cool finger tapping guitar and it sounded awesome.
Did LP3 have beef with YC, I saw he's playing in some crumb side project with MEST dude. Seems like a waste of time, might as well be in YC to say goodbye
If you go by some of the stuff his dad was saying on Facebook around the time of his departure it would be hard to believe there wasn't bad blood, but nothing has been said for sure. Just speculation at this point.
Yeah I don't think so. I remember he tweeted like a week or so after the OA Acoustic tour ended that he couldn't wait to get back in the studio with the guys and then all of a sudden - out of the band.
I'm curious if they'll extend a final US run in 2017. If so, they can just sign off by performing Paper Walls in its entirety, thanks YC, bye!
Here's a good formula for improving a Yellowcard setlist: Replace any Lights and Sounds song with any non-Lights and Sounds song. Repeat.
the opening riff to that is delicious. Waiting Game is still one of my favorites off that album though that will never happen lol
Awakening Surface Of The Sun Way Away Breathing Sure Things Falling Fighting For You and Your Denial Gifts and Curses Believe With You Around Hang You Up Only One Keeper Here I Am Alive Telescope Fragile and Dear Lift A Sail Ocean Avenue Ryan Solo Acoustic: One Year, Six Months Sing For Me Dear Bobbie California Encore: Full Band Back Home Paper Walls Be The Young Southern Air Hollywood Died (Whenever they get to the little breakdown at the end of Hollywood Died, they would play it until they everyone thought it was over, they would turn it back around into the bridge of Ocean Avenue and play it from the bridge to the end one more time.) I have envisioned it in my head the last several days, and although this setlist is extremely unlikely, it is what I would want. I would pay an absurd amount of money.
I really like the idea of all album closers as the encore. Though I would get rid of Hollywood died and have Southern Air end the set. Southern Air looks towards the future and is a great sendoff in terms of message.
Whenever Yellowcard releases a new album, the second it's available I go and listen to it front to back somewhere that looks or has the same emotion as the album art. Damn I'm depressed
