Here we go: WYTTSY Lift a Sail Ocean Avenue Paper Walls Yellowcard Southern Air Lights and Sounds Underdog One For The Kids What a great, great band
WYTTSY is so good. I was at this random one-off show they played at a warehouse in Pennsylvania like a week before that album released. Grabbed a copy of it and I popped it into the car on the drive home, which was like an hour long. Hearing the opening to "The Sound of You and Me" for the first time was so fucking sick.
Yes indeed, I have some very specific memories attached to that record. I also think it’s their most cohesive record, sequencing is perfect, first song is perfect, last song is perfect, perfect record!
This is how I’ve started to feel recently. The whole album strikes such a specific mood that I’m not even really sure how to describe
Truly connected with Say Yes when the acoustic version was released. It’s one of their greatest. Such a hard band to rank.
Sortof unrelated, but "Afraid" has to be one of the most slept on songs in their entire catalog. That song absolutely shreds, man.
I love when you’re through thinking. Has some of my favorite songs on it. Surprised to see it so low in so many rankings but maybe that’s just a testament to how damn good it all is.
What criteria do you lean more toward for your ranking? I’m assuming some of it is connected to life events coinciding with each record. Anything else play into it, at this moment in time?

Man. Ranking records in a thread where the guy who wrote them is hanging around sure is intimidating. Anyway, of the ones I've heard: Southern Air Ocean Ave WYTTSY Paper Walls Lights & Sounds Yellowcard Lift A Sail Really those first four could be in any order depending on the day.

Here are the votes from the Norwegian jury: Southern Air (ultimate summer album) Ocean Avenue (the nostalgia is strong with this one) WYTTSY (has some of their strongest songs) Lift a sail (love the atmosphere, electronics and the trips to Riff City) Underdog EP (too good to not include) Paper Walls (Jesus they have so many great albums that this ended up all the way down here?!) Self titled (also amazing, and most cried to, because of the breakup) Lights and sounds (just never clicked for me) OFTK (will never forget discovering yellowcard by hearing Shureshot. And Rough draft will always be my jam)
