I’m starting to think several other shows are essentially sold out as well. No luck getting GA in NYC
With all the excitement, energy and joy surrounding the reunion and tour, I can't help but think about Alyssa and how much this band meant to her and how much she helped connect the people that love this band and their music. Rest In Peace Alyssa we'll be representing for you in Philly!!
Stone Pony is sold out except VIP. Dashboard and AM didn’t even sell it out last summer I don’t believe
Taking the day off and having a day down the shore with the fellas then seeing Yellowcard at stone pony. Can't think of a better scenario
No worries! Alyssa was a huge fan and the founder of Yellowcard Source which I believe started out as a website that was a great place for info and to connect with fellow fans and eventually it moved to more social media apps like FB, Instagram and Twitter. The band was cool enough to allow her to post some previously unreleased stuff also. Sadly she passed away in 2019, but her love for YC well never be forgotten! https://www.facebook.com/yellowcardsource
Damn I forgot to check first thing. Sold out at nyc. I fucking hate people who buy to resell right away scum
Ahh very cool, thank you for sharing. I’d never heard of any of this, but I’m gonna dig in and check it all out. Rest in Peace
I doubt it was scalpers doing that. This day and age it’s probably the band/Ticketmaster that are internally scalping. Pretty dang frustrated with the band for allowing TM to have the dynamic pricing in place for these shows. When I said something about this on Twitter, Yellowcard hid my tweet and I also saw they were untagging themselves from tweets in which people were calling them out about the bullshit dynamic pricing and fees on tickets.
Ah ok yeah ticketmaster is the worst, the only one I like is Dice but they normally only have smaller shows. Pretty shady if the band is doing that though hope that's not the case
Just went back and read what he said. Understand people need to get paid, but I just want bands to fight back against the dynamic pricing for once.
If you trust him, the band was not aware they had control of that sort. I’m certainly not defending the dynamic pricing. I just respect Ryan for not leaving when it was brought up here and explained his side.
I would like to but I just don’t know what to believe anymore in 2023. But like you said, respect for sticking around and addressing the issues people have had this week.
Well after getting some confirmation because I wasn’t aware of it being an option when we were first booking it, they wouldn’t have offered us the tour without it. So I’m not sure what we are supposed to do here. I understand it’s frustrating.
Thanks for clarifying! That’s pretty crazy you wouldn’t have been able to book the tour without it. Just shows how much of a stranglehold TM/Live Nation has on the live music industry. Completely understand the bands side of things now wanting to tour OA for the fans while also providing for your families as much as possible.
Appreciate you understanding. We are just going to do our best to make the shows worth it for everyone. It’s going to be amazing.
Decided to upgrade my tickets at the armory to first row balcony seats. My wife was very happy to have a place to sit lol. Hotel is booked and child care is being taken care of by grandma. July seems far away but we are excited!
It says celebrating 20 years of OA. I don’t see anything saying a full album will be played. The ad implies a celebration. Sounds like we will be celebrating it. Like, I read it as a full album thing at first, but that was my assumption, not what the poster says.
