Ended up buying tickets in Cleveland because I was afraid of them selling out. Yellowcard is my mom's favorite band. We've driven all across the US just to see them. I can't in good conscience not pay her back for taking me all over the years
Yellowcard is one of my 9 year old's favorite bands and he's been asking me to go see them for awhile. I kept telling him that they weren't touring but if the opportunity ever arose we'd be there. He's gonna be so excited and I can't wait to share the moment with him. 20 years ago I was blasting Ocean Avenue in my car and this summer I get to experience the anniversary tour with my son. These are the moments I live for!
I know I said I probably wasn't going to ATL show but come on how can I miss this. 100% yolo. Me and 3 of my friends got tickets and its going to be awesome.
The show I was most worried about because of the venue size relative to past shows was Jacksonville and it’s already over 3500. Most of the tour so far. What is happening?! Haha
I think hella mega, blink-182, my chem, and the Vegas fest proved the demand was there. Glad to see this selling well during the first presale since there's likely a ton of casual fans without a presale code.
Everyone's clearly doing their part to show how much we missed the band haha. Very cool to see and I'm stoked to be back at a YC show. Fingers crossed we get a few songs from the self-titled album thrown into the setlist.
my very jaded take is that post-pandemic scalpers are over-buying for shows because they think demand is higher than it is, and then when the shows arrive the secondhand market is waaay under-priced. Again, very jaded take, but When We Were Young tickets were SOOOO cheap the week before the shows and I have already seen a ton of Blink tickets for resale at much cheaper prices than originally sold for
The tickets today were only available for people on the Yellowcard mailing list so I don’t think the scalping starts until Friday.
Fuuuck I'm suddenly really concerned about being able to get four tickets for my family tomorrow with the other presale, I didn't think it would be difficult (no offense Ryan!) We've all been going to YC shows forever so I really hope we can make it
Listened to OA doing cardio yesterday (good cardio record!) and it holds up really well. The change of tempo and addition of violin really allowed for them to stand out in a cluttered field. I seem to remember Lights & Sounds getting some backlash but, looking back, songs like View From Heaven, Empty Apartment and Back Home were definite indicators of where the sound was going on L&S so not sure why that album got a muted response. Also, "Gifts And Curses" should have been a bonus track on OA as oppose to L&S since it fits the vibe more but that's just me nit-picking.
Now imagine….NEW ALBUM TOUR!! for real though, just like everyone here I’m so glad you guys doing this and can’t wait for Boston show.
Was up late looking at Charlotte prices, so I naturally had a dream I went to a YC show and they were playing Lights & Sounds and Lift a Sail front to back. I woke up before the music started haha.
I've been listening to Yellowcard all morning, and its really making me regret hesitating on tickets yesterday. Keeping my fingers crossed for a second NYC date added!
I’ve purchased tickets to like six different shows in the next few months and the gf is going to kill me, but I just could not pass this up. Pumped for the NYC show.
Listened through Lights & Sounds and Lift a Sail last night. Both incredible records. Can't wait to be seeing Yellowcard live again
