Incredibly sad. I really wanted them to blow up again. I love the new song! Far better than most of the tunes on LAS.
Admittedly I am also one of those people who have never seen them live. Wanting to purchase a VIP package but no refund (just in case something happens) is making my broke college student butt hesitant.
Saw them live 3 times. 2011 and 2012 at festivals and 2013 on their OA acoustic tour. Really thankful that they were touring Europe that much, especially Germany. You can't say that about bands like Relient K or Motion City Soundtrack who only tour the US (and throw in some Australia here and there)
Was this shared yet? Unfollowing them and never reading another article by this site again. There’s a lot of shitty things going on in the world, but at least Yellowcard broke up
I posted this in the other thread but LP is posting on his facebook that he wants to drum for the last tour...
This was written by the founder too. CoS has always been the crappiest of the big music criticism sites though. Not that surprising.
It's a shame that there are people who are this negative. Like, what is the purpose of this? Just be kind.
I don't get this. What's wrong with them in this video? Consequence of Sound article is one of the worst subjective and stupidest shit I've ever read.
This band has broken up before, and it was more shocking the first time around. We'll have had over four records since they decided to come back, which is close to what they released before they first broke up. I don't get building a studio, or even announcing a band is breaking up to promote a record. If you want to go on hiatus again I get it. Releasing an album buys you a lot of time to rethink and adjust. Ryan still going to do a Will and the Whiskeymen EP? Sounds sound great.
This is embarrassingly awful, and also based on a show from 10 years ago of a band that has released 4 great records since then. Haven't read a whole lot of CoS, and after seeing this, I think it will stay that way.
I don't get why that site has been so salty lately, they're one of the better sites for news but there's no need for this
Yeah I unfollowed them and won't be reading the site anymore. Alex Young is a fucking asshole from looking at his Twitter feed.
Also, Josh Portman played bass on Emarosa's new album 131 - I believe the whole album. (Cheap plug for one of my favorite bands lol)
Paper Walls has been my favorite for a while now. It even surpassed Ocean Avenue pretty quickly (which at the time I didn't think would be possible).
