The albums technical birthday is in July, so...this reads/sounds heavily like a teaser of something to come
It's not. The album anniversary is July 22, 2003. Thinking the post was just referencing the upcoming anniversary in general.
That’s what I thought but it’s weird because they shared an Instagram story saying the album came out on this date.
Just saw that. Bizarre. I don’t even think any singles were released this early in 2003. Edit: In the discord they said that they just reposted it because they were tagged. Today is not the anniversary of the actual album
Man, I dunno. I guess if you’re tired of OA, I can understand. I’m going to be pretty stoked for an OA tour though especially if they do a full band play-through with other songs after.
I mean, I'd understand it and appreciate the hype for it. I just, personally, don't want it to turn into another Tell All Your Friends type thing haha.
Ocean Avenue being recorded 20 years ago is really something. Still can’t believe the anniversary is coming up.
Speaking of Wikipedia for Ocean Avenue… “The band had one song, "Boxing Me", that their A&R person felt sounded like a single, but the members considered the track "too poppy" and dropped it.” File that under things I didn’t know before today
Would love a tour, but am expecting some random shows here and there spread throughout the year. Figure Florida has a chance of getting a show.
How great would it be if they rereleased the album like Linkin Park has done for Hybrid Theory and Meteora
