I, for one, would rather Yellowcard have stuck to their word and stayed broken up. Sure, they would have deprived many fans, including myself, of a great experience at Riot Fest and with whatever comes next. But have they considered what they're doing to the meaning of the term "breakup"? Because, given the course of this thread, it somehow might not be clear, yes this is sarcasm
Maybe Yellowcard can follow suit and do a few single releases like Jimmy has done. Low pressure, no fixed time frame or style. Both bands have members who can produce songs. One can hope.
Ohh, haha. Nice! Assuming that’s going to be some sort of anniversary vinyl pressing? I really hope we get an OA tour out of this.
My mind always goes to Firewater, Gifts and Curses and the cover of Lagwagon’s Violins. They did do and OA Acoustic version years later and honestly the Michelle Branch cover of Everywhere sounds closer to OA than OFTK to me in terms of pop punk sensibility where they were at the time.
Selfishly, I hope they put together a small tour for OA20. Respectfully, I don’t expect that they will. Will still see them at whatever festival they decide to play, though.
I only got to see Yellowcard live once, in 2004. I lost my shit when they played Gift & Curses. i would love to see that on the set lists for the 2023 shows, and would LOVE for it to be back on streaming services
