For those interested, Longineu seems to be drumming for Evergreen Terrace for their anniversary shows.
I know he was playing them even before the farewell tour but it’s still so weird seeing Key play a Fender lol.
This band did things I like after he left, but man it would be great to hear them play with LP again one day. He gave them such a specific sound that I really loved. Just happy to have YC around in any capacity though, really. Anyone think they will record again one day? Something tells me they will.
I think Sean’s wife’s health is his #1 priority right now. I don’t think any recording is on any of their minds based on my convos with members.
Hope so. I feel like they might at least do a tour. Probably not as big as the MCR Reunion tour, but I feel like MCR coming back has reignited an interest in the classic bands of this era/scene, and if they picked medium venues they’d easily sell them out. Edit: oof didn’t know about that. Probably not a tour at all then.
The occasional festival seems way more their speed right now, at least until Seans wife is in a better place with her health and/or the band wants to spend some more time on the road.
I don't think any of them have a desire to be a touring band anymore. The way they've all talked about it since the break up seems they'd not want to do that anymore. I'd guess maybe a one off fest show here or there.
He’s posted this publicly (as has she) so I don’t mind sharing it here - otherwise I would obviously not want to overstep. From her instagram she was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, the most common type of breast cancer. Sean posted recently that she underwent her last chemo treatment. She’s been posting about her entire journey on her Instagram. It has been a really inspiring thing to watch. Sean had his own battle with cancer several years ago and he absolutely kicked its ass, I have no doubts she will do the same.
Thank you! They’re incredibly strong people, and especially for both going through it. Wishing her and the family nothing but the best!
I’m super happy for the guys that they get to do this. I would never expect them to do a full tour or record again - but I hope this is the start of them playing occasional festivals/shows. This was an important band for a lot of people for a very long time. They were definitely missed. Wishing them the best of luck tomorrow. Hope to be able to go to a future show!
Man, the crowd going to explode when the full band kicks in for Way Away. Gonna be a special moment for those lucky to be there.
