Hearing that song live is one of my life highlights. Getting married is a close second. Kidding. I’m not married
Ocean Avenue Southern Air Paper Walls Lift A Sail Lights and Sounds WYTTSY Yellowcard One For the Kids I still like and enjoy the bottom three, just not as strongly as the top five. Top 5 are all excellent records.
The chorus on Promises is like that for me. It’s a weird feeling I get from the song. I heard it for the first time maybe 3-4 years ago going through some stuff and it hit at the right time. I love it and it makes me sad at the same time. Haven’t actually listened to Bombers as much as that one. Will spin it a few times here over the next couple days.
I don't feel like ranking albums, but I'll say Lights and Sounds is my favorite by a lot. How I Go is my favorite song to perform, and I just love songs like Hollywood Died and City of Devils. Two Weeks from Twenty is really the only song I don't like
I like too much spread out over multiple albums to properly rank anything. I do have a favorite though. Paper Walls.
Lift a Sail to me is both their most interesting album musically and the most emotionally bare record they ever made.
Agreed. In the years since its release it has grown on me quite a bit, specifically from an emotional perspective.
The last band I’d ever thought to return was Gaslight Anthem after every interview Brian Fallon did after those anniversary shows in 2018. Yet here we are,Gaslight Anthem on tour with new record in making. Everything is possible. And Yellowcard deserves big comeback. One of the greatest bands.Let’s go Ryan.
Considering 5 days ago I didn’t think i’d ever see this band again in my life, that sounds absolutely incredible
It was just such a departure from what they do best (in my opinion obviously). I just didnt think it was good.
I can’t remember…when they came back the first time, did they announce their return as a band then down the line release WYTTSY or did they release a new song and announcement all at once?
