First thing that crossed my mind is the re-imagined Yellowcard songs which Ryan was working on several months ago

Oh my god! I'm still not thinking legit reunion yet (20th anniversary of OA is coming up, although it feels a bit early for any announcements regarding that), but Sean being on board with whatever this is is definitely a big deal. He's seemed the most detached from the music industry since the breakup and it would be hard to imagine anything type of reunion without him

 

My speculation on what this could be just skyrocketed after seeing his post. I still have absolutely no clue what it is, but seeing all of the former band members tweet that is...something.

 

One-off Ocean Avenue anniversary show on 9/22?

 

Trying to figure out if there is any significance to the 9/22 date. Doesn't seem like it. OA was released 7/22, the single in December. I'm baffled.

The nostalgia money is just too much for all of these acts to pass up. it's like when hair metal had its nostalgia moment in the mid-90s with all the summer package tours and stuff. Get out there and make that coin kids.

 

All the big summer rock festivals need some bands to play and their typical lineups are slowing down due to all being in their 60's or 70's.

 

Man the hype will be bonkers if these guys reunite

 

I'd be down for a reimagined OA album release. I'd imagine it'll be basically be reinterpreted through Ryan's more recent solo work.

 

God, I wish they'd stop using this font.

Maybe it's them playing Ocean Ave at Furnace Fest? 9/22 could be Sept 2022, there are a few bands playing full albums for their sets, and the Sat headline slot is still a mystery on the site.

My thought was that the announcement would be this, but with the band members involved - including sean and josh

 

This was the font they used on the last record, in case there was any doubt as to whether or not this was Yellowcard related

 

They've used it since Lift A Sail. It looked dated and frail then and worse now.

 

I’m also curious as to the reasoning - intentional or not - that the official Yellowcard account hasn’t tweeted anything. We will see
