Just because they didn’t doesn’t mean that they can’t or that they would lose. Not suing wouldn’t set a precedent because they wouldn’t have done anything lol.
Not policing a copyright does make it harder to enforce in the future. Doesn’t make this case more or less valid, but you are expected to police your own copyrights and trademarks. It’s a silly system.
Their new album just dropped. Gave it a listen. Its alright. Sounds like Yellowcard and Hawthorne Heights. I am not digging the production though.
Ryan produced another album. It was for a band called Backflip, and Ryan does some guest vocals on a song. If you heard Ryan on the Lead Singer Syndrome podcast, it’s the band he was working with in Japan I believe.

So embarrassing they even filed the lawsuit in the first place. The songs are in no way THAT similar and it wasn’t a good look for them, but now that he is dead it’s an even worse look.
Well it may have some issues moving forward because they can’t interview him now. I’m curious what the verdict would be though, because it may have an impact on future cases. I feel like both sides could have an argument in the this lawsuit, and it’s not as obvious as other. The amount of the lawsuit is insane to me though.
More than anything, this is becoming a bad look for the band members that are involved in the suit. Just let it go.
I feel like they just are way more concerned with being proven ‘right’ since so many people dismissed and laughed at them for it
Okay, now i’m pissed off. They have got to be kidding me. Just an awful look for everyone involved (which doesn’t include Ryan Mendez btw). I just don’t understand what the motivation could be to continue to do this. Juice WRLD Is Still Being Sued for $15 Million Over 'Lucid Dreams'
Yeah, could be a major reason. It just looks so terrible for them. So disappointing to see after all of these years.
I find it a tad funny this is what it took for people to see musical copyrights as bad and the lawyers leading the cases as bottom feeders.
