Crazy that the final two were both closing tracks, but neither was one of the band's top two closing tracks.
All so strong though. Be the Young and Hollywood Died are probably their best but Paperwalls and Back Home are tied for 3rd.
The fact that people voted for Fields and Fences simply because they didn't want a song from Lights and Sounds to win is so stupid
I voted for Fields because it’s a better song lol. I also didn’t want a L&S song to win, but that didn’t make my decision
"Fields and Fences" is a much, much better song than "Holly Wood Died," and I like that a song from their last album beat a song from their worst album.
I just got Paper Walls on vinyl. Listened to it twice yesterday. Still my favorite album of theirs. It just embodies everything I love about this band.
I think I missed the Paper Walls train. I got into them with Ocean Ave, but then fell off until Southern Air. I've tried to retroactively get into Paper Walls, but it just hasn't clicked for me.
Record’s got some jams but the seeming consensus around here that it’s their best baffles me. I’d take any post-reunion album over it and never look back
