Well sure, if you skip Three Flights Up, Lights and Sounds, Down on my Head, Rough Landing Holly, Waiting Game, Martian Sheen, Grey, How I Go and Hollywood Died the album is bad.

If you skip the other 5 songs I left out, it's a pretty good album.

 

Sure Thing Falling is my favourite on there. :(

 

I was waiting for this to begin.

Lights and Sounds is not bad. It's very different. It features some of their best lyrics and musical composition if you ask me. Lift a Sail is the same type of album, just more electronic instead of alternative. Some like it, some don't. Still doesn't mean it's "bad".

 

Damn, I seem to have a history of saying I don't like a song and you telling me it's your favorite Sorry!

 

We like the same bands, but don't agree on the songs haha

If you have to skip 5 songs, that’s a bad album.

 

I dunno, I'd say 9 great songs is a good listen. Also City of Devils and Sure Thing Falling aren't unlistenable like Two Weeks from Twenty lol, but if your finger is already on the skip button.....

 

It’s not about how many are left over... if you are skipping 5 tracks on a album, that’s bad. Like, really bad.

 

I skip more songs on Lift a Sail but still consider it a good album.

The cadets logic is not sound.

 

Just not as negative and look to the positives

 

Why would yo skip City of Devils tho? It's a great song.

It just never clicked for me. I think above I said that and Sure Thing Falling aren't unlistenable, but just doesn't match the quality of the rest of the album for me.

 

Or your definition of good is far too wide.

 

This is a pointless argument lol, esp since my answer to this would be me just repeating what you quoted. If having 9 new YC songs to forever love and play in my life makes the album they came from not good, then I guess my definition is too wide.
