Holy shit, "Got Yours" is amazing

 

It doesn't fit in as much with the rest of the album, and it's completely different, but still good.

 

More on the lines of Ten. But I think Ten is better. At least after one listen of Yellowcard.

 

They usually always have a song like that. OA had View from Heaven, LAS had Two Weeks From Twenty, and LaS, I'd say Fragile and Dear.

ALSO SAVIOR'S ROBES IS AMAZING

 

Hated the 2 singles, but this is bringing me back listening to the whole album. Only on track 5, but they've won me back...I can't believe this is it

 

Not sure that's a blend I want to try.

 

I'm so glad people love that one as much as I do.

 

That's because it's classic Yellowcard. It truly embodies what this band was so well-known for doing.

Was is such a hard word to use right now.

 

Whiskey for sure.

 

Maybe start with a whiskey, transition to beer, and finish with wine

Empty Streets. Glad that song is on this album. Not much different from the demo and it could fit right on PW.

 

"Got Yours" is my favorite of the first half.

 

That band meant so much to me. They had a song called "Sureshot" that I came with the first MP3 player I ever bought, the first thing I could ever buy for myself. Then I heard "Fighting" from Madden 08 and it was one of my favorite songs of all-time. Yellowcard was the first band I could ever name, and they were the first band I could ever cry for, and they're the first band I've ever seen go. And they deserve it. That last album was the single best thing they have ever put out. People will talk about Ocean Avenue, but at the end of the day, Yellowcard's final song, Fields and Fences, will be remembered as the first song that has ever hurt me to listen to.

Thank you so much, Yellowcard. Ryan, Ryan, Sean, Josh, I hope you four never stop making music. I can't say anything but thank you.

Fuck, the lyrics of Savior's Robes really lend credence to the idea that they broke up because of fans

 

A Place We Set Afire is pretty much what I thought Lift A Sail would sound like leading up to that album. It could have fit on Lift A Sail, but there's a certain feeling of brightness to the song that I really enjoy.

 

So in one hour, girlfriend is going to bed and I'm putting this on.... this is kinda excruciating

 

If F&F is your song that truly hurts to hear, this is gonna tear me up. I can't begin to tell you what Shadows and Regrets does to me every time.

 

I'm going to tell you right now, I love "Shadows and Regrets", but that...you're not going to be emotionally prepared for F&F.

 

I'm with you there. Song doesn't do it for me

 

This sounds like it is on a whole new level of emotion...

I stopped after track 5. I didn't feel the quality was up to par. I know what good quality sounds like in my car. I'm gonna wait for the rest.

But my god, the first half. I don't have enough words to describe it all.

 

One of my favorite YC songs on first listen.
