I decided to switch my preorder to the opaque grey variant. Turns out I didn't preorder the variant I originally wanted anyway
I'm bummed I have to wait another month for it on vinyl, but the variant makes it worth the wait. I got the clear variant that was originally limited to 300
Was just reading through some stuff from around the time Southern Air came out and debuted at #10. Crazy to think that was a little more than 4 years ago -- and crazy to think about how much has changed since that summer. Going to miss hearing new music from this band.
Can't remember if they ever said, but was Josh involved in the writing/recording of this album? I know in the past it's just been Key, Mendez, and Sean.
10 days to go and things seem... quiet? Maybe it's just me, and maybe that's the vibe with an album like this.
Yeah, I've been thinking the same. It may be intentional...im not sure. Im very excited for this album but it doesn't seem there's much marketing or anything going on for its release. Usually those things pick up right around this point.
I agree, though they might decided to spend that energy on marketing for and prepping the final tour. That's the big thing that I think everybody will be really looking forward to this year. Guess we'll see.
I think they've kept this very under wraps. Not many advances have gone out and they've only done two pre-release tracks versus the four they did for Lift a Sail. I don't think people have forgotten about it: I just don't think there's been a lot to talk about. I feel like when the album finally shows up there will be a lot of talk about it.
Yeah at this point I'm just going to wait till it releases. I plan to put it on my phone and go for a long walk and listen to this.
My main thing is that the band has been so quiet. The last several albums they did Q&A's, AMA's, interviews etc. It's been near radio silence here.
