Interesting perspective...but I doubt they'd release 3 songs more than a month before the album drops.
The stylistic change happened right as LP left, which of course opens up the door for everyone to say that his departure caused this.
Love the song could see it cracking my top 10 YC songs This album is going to be so special I can just feel it
Assuming based on the video that this song is about his wife (ex-wife?) and maybe just long-distance relationships in general.
This is blurring the lines between Yellowcard and Will and the Whiskeymen. I'm all good with the song, but it's doesn't have the yellowcard vibe per say.
I understand what you're trying to say, but W&TW only have two songs. So it's hard to say what their vibe is, per se. I think this is where Ryan is in his songwriting right now.
This new track has a very Smashing Pumpkins vibe to it. It also sounds like it has similar guitar riffs from "My Mountain." I dig it. A little bit too long, though, I'm pumped for Empty Streets.
I loved this. I've enjoyed their restraint over the last few records, I think this is the pinnacle of that for them
I noticed this a bit as well. Even moreso than Lift A Sail. But that's their choice and more likely than not, done intentionally. I don't think it sounds necessarily "bad".
I dunno, I like the song. Craig mentioned it earlier, but I def hear the Stay on My Side Tonight comparison.
