If you guys haven't checked out the Pop Punk Playlist on Spotify that the band took over today, Ryan talks a bit more about the new album and the whole discography. He mentions how he's pretty sure Cut Me Mick will be a staple on the final set list. I also have a feeling that the set will include a lot of Non- Ocean Ave tracks, since there will be solo shows for that entire album. It's gonna be an absolute experience regardless though!
Key: I think we share our passion for playing a song on that record called “Cut Me Mick” that riff that opens that song is just such a barn burner, it’s such a rager. We’re looking forward to playing that song hopefully on the fall tour and I think that’s a common song from that record that we all definitely love.
I remember when they played it live it was pretty emotional. He told the crowd to sing loud enough so that his aunt could hear it. I think Ryan's aunt passed away a few days after the Chicago show.
I have 46 songs on my Spotify playlist and I haven't added songs from Lift A Sail yet. It's going to be hard to pick 25.
Here is a list of my favorite Yellowcard songs. Hopefully they play a majority of them at the Chicago shows. Starstruck Drifting Something of Value Sureshot Cigarette October Nights Rock Star Land Underdog Avondale The Finish Line Powder Rocket Way Away Breathing Ocean Avenue Empty Apartment Life of a Salesman Only One Miles Apart Twentythree View From Heaven Inside Out Believe One Year, Six Months Back Home Lights And Sounds Rough Landing, Holly The Takedown Fighting Shrink the World Light Up the Sky Shadows & Regrets Five Becomes Four Dear Bobby The Sound of You and Me For You And Your Denial With You Around Hang You Up Life of Leaving Home Soundtrack Sing For Me See Me Smiling Be the Young Awakening Surface of the Sun Always Summer Here I Am Alive Telescope Ten Southern Air Convocation Crash the Gates Makes Me So The Deepest Well Lift A Sail Firewater Gift & Curses Hey Mike MSK
Your list is missing Hollywood Died, Sleeping in the Snow and Paper Walls. Honestly during their last tour they came out to Breathing and it was awesome.
So with a 25 song set, making a balanced set from 7 major label albums, an EP and smaller release One for the Kids is going to be really hard. If they did 5 from Ocean Ave, 3 from every other major release and 1 from the EP and OFTK I think that'd be really fair and balanced. I'd go with these in no order: Way Away Breathing Ocean Ave Only One Believe Lights and Sounds Rough Landing Hollywood Died Takedown Cut Me Mick Paper Walls Sound of You and Me With You Around Be The Young Awakening Always Summer Southern Air Crash the Gates Fragile and Dear Lift a Sail RIP What Appears Empty Street October Nights Avondale
