I should've clarified what I meant by that. I thoroughly enjoy all the songs they played for the most part, but the order was terrible. It was like 7-8 bangers in a row, then about 12 midtempo/slow deep cuts (with 'Breathing' awkwardly tossed in the middle), then "Ocean Avenue". By the time the encore rolled in, the energy was damn near sucked out of the room. Seems like a petty thing to complain about, but it kinda dampened the night for me.
Going to see them tomorrow and Friday. Really excited to see them, but I also don't want Friday night to come because I know I'll never go to one of their shows again.
I couldn't go last night, but I'm kinda banking on them doing a small venue tour next fall/end of summer
and all their merch for this album cycle emphasizes the 2017; I assume they're doing Europe this December and then Australasia the beginning of next year. Their last show will (presumably) be in Florida. I can't imagine their last show will be a makeup show in New Mexico.
Yeah, I've kind of wondered because it seems like they are randomly adding shows after the final tour announcement. I would love if they came close to St Louis (closer than Chicago). I have given up hope though.
Don't they keep adding dates for overseas? I could have sworn I saw some pop up from them on facebook. I know for sure they just posted that South America wasn't going to happen. If so, granted they aren't US dates but doesn't that mean they are still trying to book stuff.
They definitely are going to play a final show in FL or CA. This is the "final tour" then they'll do the rest of the world and the 2 make up dates and play one "final show" to finish everything up. Most likely it'll be announced after the FL shows.
Yeah I personally don't understand the whole not ending in your hometown thing that bands are doing now but a lot of them are.
But Sean is the only true original member. I don't think they have considered themselves as a band from Jacksonville in a long time.
