Dunno if vinyl still suffers from the same delays we saw a few years ago, but my guess is the release schedule is coordinated around that. Yellowcard is synonymous with summer for me too, but I'm sure this will play well in North Carolina (where we could well retain heat into October).
With all due respect, what do you mean by compete with Taylor? Like, for the No. 1 spot? The vast majority of bands in this scene nowadays aren't coming anywhere close to charting high (if at all). Childhood Eyes, granted an EP, did not chart at all on the Billboard Top 200 (please correct me if I'm wrong, but a quick Google search revealed it didn't). I do suspect that given this is their full LP in nearly a decade, plus some of the momentum that the singles have created will result in this album charting decently, but with or without Taylor, I doubt it's coming in near the top. Hope I'm wrong.
The compete with Taylor was a figure of speech - what I meant is that they might want to stagger away from it to avoid being buried even further by her release which will dominate headlines if it’s on the same day.
Fair enough. However, whenever Taylor drops, she will dominate the charts/headlines for a significant amount of time. There's nothing any other artists can do to avoid it.
I don't really think they have to worry about Taylor, they're their own thing and have their own audience and she's always going to be the talk of the town. They shouldn't move for something as silly as her release.
Bedroom Posters out tomorrow, saw a few positive reviews on socials where it is already available (or has been found)
Also, for those of you who are impatient like myself there is a 1-minute long clip of the new song on TikTok if you search for the song name and click the sounds tab. It sounds awesome.
Man I love this song, the verses and bridge are great and the chorus is awesome. Song has a really fun groove to it too
Fantastic song. Having a hard time picking between this and the title track for favorite song (so far).
