For me, def whatever starts OFTK, probably ahead of Way Away at this point, def above Lights and Sounds, RIP, Transmission Home
The Takedown Awakening The Sound of You and Me/Better Days/Way Away Three Flights Up And anything else all tied here
Awakening Takedown Sound of You and Me Way Away Better Days Convocation/Transmission in Home (counting as one song to be fair) RIP 3 Flights/L&S (counting as one song to be fair)
I listened to the entire album thanks to this post. Still an absolute banger front to back. Undisputed GOAT for me.
Way Away was the first Yellowcard song I ever heard, so it’s hard for anything to beat its importance to me.
Wild we still have two whole months until this is out. Not quite sure I understand the reasoning either. I mean, Good Charlotte, AFI, and Deftones are all doing, or have done, short roll-outs. I’d even argue short roll-outs create more buzz and excitement. I don’t know. Just feels like a wasted opportunity to not have it out for the summer.
Very real chance they have to compete with Taylor's release date now too which is rumored to be slated around early October. Not sure that they care, but also wouldn't be shocked if they moved the release date to create some space. I believe they literally just had to do this same thing with Childhood Eyes too
Obviously none of these would be competition on the same level as Taylor, but 10/3 is Thrice, 9/26 is The Starting Line, 9/19 is Motion City Soundtrack. If anything, I’d guess they’d push it back a week or 2.
I’m hoping with how well Better Days is charting, that we get some vinyl re-issues in the coming months.
Yep. Underdog EP, When You’re Through Thinking, Lift A Sail would also be nice. None of which are readily available at retail prices.
