no Melbourne show is a bummer! I do not want to see Good Charlotte lol but Yellowcard and Kisschasy sounds amazing
Getting to see Yellowcard and Kisschasy both twice in the space of less than a year is a dream come true. Can't wait to see them in Perth.
Finally got to really sit down with this today and am just so damn happy. As someone who was at that last show in 2017 right as I was graduating college, needless to say this band and its various phases have been with me through my own phases of life for just about as long as I can remember. And having another YC phase to enjoy is such a pleasure. Have a lot more thoughts I’ll try to type up at some point, but for now I’m sitting here wondering how high City of Angels will land on my all time YC favorites list. Because holy shit, what a song. Chills on first and all repeated listens.
Hey. Guys. Just want to say for everyone who loves City of Angels (I am so fucking pumped on the reception for this song) that something so so so so rad is going to happen with it. I don’t know when exactly, but holy shit. We are in an alternate timeline. It’s just the only explanation
honestly, the YC fanbase just wasn't quite ready for Lift a Sail when it came out, and that includes me. It was a big style change at a specific age and time in my life that was really tough. That said, we've all learned to appreciate it and that style since, I think. City of Angels would fit perfectly on there and now we all love it haha. Excited to see what's next for it
I’m admittedly one of those that fell off a bit after loving Southern Air (it was also a really weird time in my life where I dropped a lot of stuff I loved and would regain a love for later). City of Angels is PEAK.
This is far better than I expected it to be, honestly. Crazy to get such great comeback records from MCS, TSL, and Yellowcard in quick succession. One of those albums where I basically added every song to my “currents” playlist as I was listening.
If Better Days is the WYTTSY of this reunion, then the next record is going to be fucking insane. The bar has been set incredibly high. Such a gift that we have this band back, and as revitalized as they are.
They need to come out with a Spider-Man 4 and have the soundtrack be full of the same artists from the original trilogy.
I need to hear a Will Pugh feature on Barely Alive. What a goddamn epic chorus that craves Will’s vocals in the mix.
