This band being as big part of my life as blink and Alkaline trio, it’s funny this album include Travis and Skiba. but anyway…Amazing work. All 10 tracks are strong. I have chorus of Big Blue Eyes stick in my head for two days now and it’s not even my favorite song on the album. Better Days, Love Letters and You Broke Me too are the strongest for me (for now).
Becoming a dad the same time this album dropped has been surreal. Eternally grateful for this band, this community, and the music that carries us along this ride together.
Threw this on for a long car journey, and what a blast! Probably my favourite album from them since Sourthen Air.
I actually get a bit of all their eras in this album… sprinkled around… I was listening to Honestly I a while back and was thinking to myself “is there just a LITTLE bit of OFTK in this??” (but obviously way more polished)
I was so curious about the artwork meaning, this is so sweet. On my first listen. Take What You Want is quite infectious.
Definitely! You Broke Me Too - Lights and Sounds City Of Angels - Lift a Sail Better Days - Paper Walls Honestly I - OA/OFTK Bedroom Posters - Southern Air I know it’s my second post today but I went through the album twice on my drive to work today and I kept pressing repeat on Love Letters Lost. @williamryankey Please man, never stop making music. Everything you made was always so special even your feature on that Lights Out song back in 2000s haha
Bedroom Posters is such a fun mid-tempo shuffle song. Never heard this version of YC before but it’s very cool. need a YC/NFG tour in ‘26
my DUDE, Skin Scraped is so good. it's the first standout track from the last few days as I've been listening on repeat, and now I know why! It has the YC soul through and through.
That last minute plus of City Of Angels totally sounds like something blink could've done with Mark and Tom trading off lines
