Just gave these songs multiple spins, and I'm loving both tracks. Catchy as hell, production sounds great, Travis is killing per usual. Can't wait to hear this in full.
Definitely not gonna overplay these. Nope… no way. …shit. Can’t help it! And now I’m remembering the snippet of Take What You Want being an absolute banger as well, I actually voted that in the lead single vote. (even though Better Days was absolutely the right choice)
Imagine hearing in 2005 that in 20 years Yellowcard would be releasing an album with Travis Barker on drums and songs with Matt Skiba and Avril Lavigne.
This will give me a reason to look forward to fall!! Love these new songs so much. Travis gives these tracks a nice kick in the pants, and I can’t wait for the rest!! 2025 is the year of Yellowcard as far as I’m concerned.
I don't support leaks, but I'd love for this album to be out there a week earlier in time for a marathon I'm planning to run.
This made me realize that the album comes out two days before I run the Chicago Marathon. Will be jamming it that whole weekend, I presume.
Album is like 32 minutes, which I can assume means you’ll have already finished the race before it’s over.
Love these songs. I was unsure of that guitar in the honestly i verses at first because it sounds sort of incongruent with the rest of the music and vocals to me, but the chorus has been stuck in my head since yesterday.
I think my favorite bit was Ryan talking about writing with a focus on lyrics and melody first for this record and how they haven't really done that since Ocean Avenue. I think that's felt, but it's something that's hard to pin down exactly why songs feel different between OA and the more recent records especially.
