Now I can read other reviews and get caught up on interviews without worrying about being swayed. All the other reviews look super positive so far. That track by track posted earlier makes me feel good about two points I made in my review too.

Does anyone find it so odd that "City of Angels" is melodically, sonically and atmospherically so similiar to the Thirty Seconds to Mars song with the same title? And yes this sounds like Travis producing an Angels & Airwaves song performed by Yellowcard (Acnowledging that being the U2 influence haha)

Wow. Yellowcard 182 is a legit band. Skin Scraped is so freakin good. This an awesome new direction! A mix of classic Yellowcard with some definite Blink influences.

Yep. Very One More Time and Blink-182/ST in this record. Super fun to hear. Those two happen to be my favorite Blink records so you won't hear me complain. Very hard to find a Yellowcard comparison. Paper Walls I guess is the closest.

 

Definitely some Lift a Sail especially in City of Angels
