Yeah Ocean Ave hit 13 on the Top 40 chart which has a way bigger reach than even 1 on Alternstive does, but it’s still pretty wild to be up there with Green Day and twenty one pilots almost at that top spot!

 

It absolutely is. We are all rooting for this release.

 

I think one of my greatest accomplishments as a father so far is that my 4.5 year old daughter loves Yellowcard and all I had to do was have the music on in the background. Now it’s a constant request in the car and during bath time.

 

For many, many reasons

 

Alright I think this is my favorite of the bunch so far. The verses are incredibly catchy/love the unique rhythm for YC, and then the chorus hook is so good. When the harmonies are layered in... can't get enough! Which makes the outro/"round" even better. Big fan.

 

Side note. Crazy that saviors has been out a while and one eyed bastard is doing so well. I thought they released that as a single last year?

 

My kids LOVE Better Days. “Put the piano song” (they see the cover on the screen of the van). I don’t want to be intense but I’m slipping more YC songs on them little by little hahah.

Bedroom Posters is exactly what I want from a new Yellowcard album

Every other song on the album could be a miss for me and I'd be cool with it, as I got one more classic YC song (in my book), which is all I really wanted

 

bedroom posters is the only yellowcard song i've ever liked (the chorus annoys me though) besides ocean avenue and even that one is overplayed to me. i hope they have more songs like this on the album.

This is an insane take

 

Could make an argument for it being the worst take in the history of this site.

 

I like the guitar work on basically every song, but the vocals (and everything on take what you want) sound washed out/secondary to the lead guitar. I initially chalked it up to listening on phone speakers, but switched to some other albums and they sounded as expected. If this isn’t a speaker malfunction, I’m disappointed at the production quality for what sound like could be great songs underneath the mud.

They also said they only like one song by Joyce Manor (and yet seemed excited about them announcing a new track?). Very confusing stuff, lol.

 

Don’t put me in time out, tell me what i want to hear and that my audio is fucked so (1) I can get back to being as excited as I want to be about this and (2) I can use this as an excuse to upgrade form my iPhone 12

Travis produced this, so we must have the same debate about production as the OMT release in 2023

I feel like production on these new songs and Childhood Eyes EP are both different but both sound best along with Southern Air/Ocean Avenue if that makes sense. Basically…I hear no flaws.

I’ll go that far and say these tracks and OA are MY kind of Yellowcard ( and still love Childhood Eyes and Southern Air…And Lights & Sounds)

This is some of my favorite production in their entire catalog lol, it sounds huge and crisp as hell at the same time. To say anything sounds drowned out in this mix is actually insane
