Yeah whenever I read one of these Yellowcard posts everyone gushes about virtually every other record but leaves this one out. It's so damn good with pretty much every track being great and some being amongst their best songs.
I recommend Southern Air, it's the album I listen to the most from them and, IMO, has no skips on it.
Sweet! On the conversation of albums, I really like When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes. I'm more of a casual fan. For the big Yellowcard fans, where would you guys rank Where We Stand? Do you separate it from the Ryan Key albums?
Paper Walls, please. Go. aaand then go right on ahead into Southern Air, take a little left turn into Lights & Sounds, then back into familiar territory with When You're Through Thinking Say Yes. If you're still hungry for more YC juice then dive into Lift A Sail and the self titled album. If you wanna have some spunky blast from the past fun then rewind all the way back to One For The Kids, before YC evolved there's some great tunes in there. I love and enjoy the entire YC catalogue. However my favorite is still Paper Walls followed by Lift A Sail.
Truly, what a time to be alive. Let's goOoOoO! I like this being an EP. The last time YC had an EP was way back in the day with the fabled Underdog EP. Equal Vision Records has Yellowcard and Anberlin under the same roof. This is a wonderful thing. My two favorite bands in the same home.
WWS is a diiiffferent separate vibe, a different timeline...however I do blast "April 20th" occasionally ! The fact that Sean has been part of YC since 1997...through ALL the evolving eras is wild. He's seen it all.
Good order. I might go OFTK before Lift a Sail but other than that a good way to approach the catalog.
I'm 99.9% sure its good ol Nate Young once again. YC and Anberlin are both my top 2 favorite bands so its really been a unique situation to have the drummer of my 2nd favorite band in my main favorite band for the recent YC studio albums. I remember at one of the Warped Tours...YC and Anberlin were on the roster...Anberlin played their set and then he grabbed his snare drum and kick drum pedal to rush over to the stage YC was on to rock their set. Epic thing to witness. I do wish YC would have their own official drummer in the band, but I know its really tough to add a new member at this point. However, having Nate on the kit has really worked for them and I'm happy about it.
same yo! he KILLED it on SA&thinking and everything before. he was always my favorite member to watch during this music video
