Wow, really really stupid. I also cant stand jezebel/gawker and how hypocritical they are. It's so wrong to pretend to be a victim of revenge porn... but send us real revenge porn and well post it for the entire world to see because its newsworthy!

 

So, I just skimmed through the 'sex tape'.......there's like, no actual sex in it... Unless what they uploaded is different than previous. Like, it ends with one of them pulling off their skin and becoming a monster and eating the other.

Anna Merlan wrote an article attacking people who questioned the Rolling Stone UVA rape fiasco. It got a lot of praise and pushed the notion not to question a victim's story because its usually the truth. Its fine to have that opinion as a lay person but as journalist its part of their job to fact check and make sure the story has a basis of truth. Unfortunately, the writer for Rolling Stone was borderline incompetent and and failed at every basis of fact checking and journalism (this was done by Columbia School of Journalism). So while Anna the lay person shouldnt watch the video Anna the journalist should at least make sure there is actually a sex tape. This part makes me thinkshe may have learned something from that whole ordeal:

"What Yacht did is troll people’s innate sense of horror, disgust and compassion when confronted with a terribly violating crime. They’re probably trying to make a point about media sensationalism, about online outlets, especially, being willing to cover salacious stories without fact-checking them."

I'm not sure what I can do to "prove" anything. Sorry for pointing out that this writer is using a word incorrectly that belittles a serious issue. Saying that somebody's workplace is an "incestuous pool" is no different than saying, "yeah, I raped that person in basketball today".

 

Why can you not believe that someone has an opinion on a word that's different than yours. Does the world only turn to your ideas? If he doesn't like how the word is used then he doesn't like how the word is used. lol

He doesn't need it to be signed and approved by others.
