I play in Japanese so they keep talking during battles and exploring and I have no idea what they're talking about but I assume it's nonsense haha
I still have so many questions: How do you fail a merc mission? Or can you? How do you even do some of these field points... one requires 9 of one skill. Do you have to have 9 blades with that skill? Can you level them up? Drommaraks botany is still level 1 in chapter 4. I’m lost on upgrading Poppi. I never gain any of what levels up her skills or changes them.
I wish the quick travel interface was more intuitive. I have no idea what area upper whatever and lower whatever corresponds to so I just hunt and peck until I find what area I need. Unless I'm dumb and completely missing it (outside of the mini map that I can oddly make almost fullscreen but not reveal much more area), the lack of an actual map for each area is also kind of strange. edit: I'm also just beginning chapter three and still on the first big area, so maybe this is just an outlier. I have no idea.
I still like the open spaces in XCX more than the smaller spaces in this game. Also, this is random, but the auto attack speed and feedback in XCX feels more satisfying to me. Still, XC2 is now probably my favorite Xenoblade.
At first, I loved the environments in XCX. But as the game went on they started to become uninteresting and I just didn't care about exploring anymore. I like that XC2 is a bit more confined and that it doesn't give you so much at once like XCX. XC2 is great and I'm liking it more and more, but it still doesn't come close to my love for the original.
Nia is an amazing Blade holy shit As you can see I'm still working my way through it, but by now it has probably become my favourite Xenoblade game. It's really fucking good.
I’m on chapter 4 and I love the game much more now than at first. I’m just now figuring things out. I didn’t even know what what I was doing before. My only gripe is that I rarely seem motivated to do the side quests and the merc missions because the rewards aren’t great. I’m still not 100% on a few of the games concepts, just need to read up more. But like I said, it is a great game and each character, blade and new area are very vibrant.
I ended up doing most of the available side missions when I had to level up for boss fights. Most of them aren't interesting, but there are some moments. Also, man you're still going to see some shit.
That spoiler is interesting. Wonder what happens now haha. I’m going to try and a finish a few quests before moving on
One thing that annoys me is the rarity of overdrive protocols, it's really holding me back in terms of building an amazing team
@Fixed Glitch I don't think this is a spoiler: make sure you do the quests to get Tora's third blade before you finish chapter 6 (but also not before you start chapter six) or you won't be able to get it until like chapter 8. Google it, it starts with a heart-to-heart. Unlike his second blade it's not actually built into the progression of the story.
Thanks! To be honest, I have no idea what I’m doing it’s Poppi and Poppi QT haha. I need to read up ASAP.
