From what I’m hearing, it sounds like Marvel stayed true to 90s X-Men by making Magneto right (and hot), and then made him go cRaZy in a way that no well written Magneto would? Is this right? If so, everyone should just pretend that’s Joseph, not Magneto.
What I meant was, a well-written Magneto wouldn’t go crazy, lol. The only exception is Morrison New X-Men, and even that 1) has an ancient bacterial evil influencing him, 2) has problematic elements to the story, and 3) had to be convolutedly retconned into a separate Xorn character afterwards so the character would be usable going forward. (Though now I’m imagining a story beat that’s like a mash-up of the “Joseph” clone and Xorn.)
Don't think it's out of the question for Magneto to get so frustrated and upset that he decides to trash the planet, but (shrugs).
I mean, we're talking about the show, it would be weird if you just threw a random comment about something else without context.
Not that it's any of our business, but I really wonder what DeMayo did to get the boot and have no consideration of coming back, especially given his deep well of knowledge and respect for the property.
Yeah, it feels like Disney/Marvel really clamped down on anyone speaking out and DeMayo isn't really fighting it. Though his posts could come off as politicking to get in Disney's good graces. If he was creating a bad work environment then good riddance. This season was amazing, but shouldn't be at the expense of everyone else working on it.
Logan is a character who’s easily in my top tier of Marvel superheroes, but also one that I for some reason only like reading sporadically (perhaps partly in reaction to how much material he has, lol). So, I’m thrilled to have such a high level miniseries to give me a focused blast of Logan goodness. Very curious how big of a role some of the other characters Capullo’s posted art of have in the story; it’s dope that Dani Moonstar seemingly pops up.
