I remember being on a forum when the promo images were released and everyone was so excited about the black suit

  2. Hmm, the tone of this movie seems way different than the last:chin:

Is it Hugh who plays the role though or someone else?

I think it's hugh. There was some talk about possibly de-aging him but I believe that was debunked.

Would have been badass that they secretly just cast for a younger re-cast to take over the helm in the next film.

It's made very clear that it's Hugh.

I don't know much about X-Men, but he shouldn't look younger should he? He ages very slowly iirc

I don't think it is Hugh, but I also don't think it matters.

It basically just lays out everything it, subjectively, did right and wrong.

They did say Angel and Psylocke are completely wasted. But they also liked how Apocalypse was used.

Oh, I get exactly what it is. And I do want to read it. But not sure why anyone would want to before seeing the movie. I'll read it after next Thursday night.

Knowing what's gonna happen in a comic book film before seeing it is the best.

Yeah, knowing what is going to happen in that Wolverine scene actually makes me want to see it now. lol

Not reading that article, but it's interesting that they said Psylocke was wasted. All the promotion going on for this makes it seem like she has a pretty large role. Hoping she has a decent amount of screen time and isn't reduced to just one fight sequence or something.

It sounds like it was mostly the fact that it is overstuffed with characters and she has very little dialog.

They keep showing that one shot of her cutting that car and not much else. I would have been surprised to hear she had a large role.

Not for me. I mean, obviously when I rewatch the movie I know everything haha! But for the first viewing I like to have some sort of suspense and mystery going in. It's part of that first viewing experience.

This applies to all movies though, not just comic book.

And that one other part where shes sliding down a building with her katana haha

Ah. Was kinda expecting that unfortunately

She doesn't. She has a handful of lines and basically does nothing else.

I'm afraid to even ask about Jubilee then

Don't get the hate for this, not a perfect film by any means and there have been better X-Men films and better comic book movies from this year but certainly doesn't deserve the average reviews it is getting.

She's basically a glorified cameo. Had maybe one or two lines.
