Hadn't realized he was expecting to bring in a weekly show already. That's rad.

 

I agree that the amount of content they are putting out is objectively kind of ridiculous, but I am personally totally fine with it. I already skip Raw and NXT outside of Takeovers. I watch Smackdown, 205 Live, and PPVs, and even then I skip some Raw PPVs like Hell in a Cell, and likely Roadblock. Not because I'm too good for Raw, but because Smackdown is on another level and I only have so much time I'm willing to give to one of many interests.

 

On the WWW podcast, former writer Matt occasionally makes comments or tells stories about how when Vince would see a writer or producer watching a television show in the back before or after whatever taping, why they weren't watching content/WWE. Vince legit probably thinks a large chunk of fanbase wants to watch WWE programming 24/7.

 

I fucking love how good at Lucha is about getting people over. Mariposa as a character makes NO FUCKING SENSE. But the match last night was so dope that you could get behind any of these characters. Sami Callahan is seriously one of the most fun wrestlers in the world. It's a shame he was a wash in NXT.

 

Seriously, Mariposa's finisher is so fucking terrifying and they hit it on a chair. Holy fuck.

 

Yeah, making Sami into an edgelord hacker turned nobody with a "Flinstones in a singlet" look was awful

So I'm trying to go back and watch some ROH from the past. I'm a very casual fan. What are the best ppvs or events that I should check out? I'm thinking from 2006 to present.

 

I remember reading a few years ago that Vince has no idea what is going on in the world. He doesn't watch movies or TV shows or know any celebrities until the creative team wants them on Raw or something. His life is nothing but wrestling. And it doesn't surprise me at all lol

 

Can 100% confirm this. My favorite go-to interview question for anyone who is ever in close proximity to Vince is for them to explain how out of touch Vince is with pop culture.
