Holy shit re: Hero. I am elated. I have some likely misplaced hope that it's as an in-ring talent. Who cares if he's overweight? He can run circles around guys 10 years and 100 pounds lighter than him. Owens is one of the best workers of the 2010's, and the only difference between he and Hero's in-ring value is a tank top. He's a good guy with a work ethic of steel and they'd be dumb to hide him behind a curtain rather than put a top on him and send him out there to put on clinics.
Dude can work high flying and hoss matches alike with the best. Have him lead The Revival and print some money.

The situation at Takeover Brooklyn was hilarious/awful.

 

I know they allowed it @ Beast in the East, and I think for Liger v. Breeze, but I know those are special circumstances. What are you referring to with Takeover NY?

 

Someone threw streamers for the Tag Title (?) match and got taken away by security. The crowd let security know that they fucked up and gave them a few chants to make it evident. They eventually let the guy back and he got the second biggest cheers of the night.

 

I will never get over women in Japan shouting Shinsuke throughout matches. Watching his NJPW stuff, it was always my fave part. lol

Also, re: Hero, don't get your hopes up. The article about Hero just said that Meltz has heard that they have big plans for him in Evolve in 2017. It literally didn't even mention WWE. While Evolve has a working program with WWE, let's not act like being in Evolve's good graces and being eyed by WWE are mutually exclusive. Past major matches for Evolve this year have included Drew Galloway, EC3, and even Cody Rhodes against Hero himself. Staying cautiously optimistic but that headline is misleading at best for now.

I understand the suspicions, but the article itself literally doesn't even mention WWE beyond the headline and some flavor text about his Kassius Ohno run. It seems like he is, but I've been let down by similar reports before.

Totally expecting Broken Matt Hardy and possibly Brother Nero to show up on Friday. I can't imagine the pop if one or both come out. Would also blow my mind, but could absolutely see Kota appearing Friday night too.

God damn, Ric Flair is at worst a top three of all time. The biggest testament to the aging process being a crime.
