Yeah last time I was paying attention to the indie scene Albany was an easy place to see an indie event whether it was just a live event or an iPPV event

It's a treat. They came into the crowd during the match and him and the YB were superkicking chairs onto Cheech and Delaney'a heads right in front of me.

 

If they could get on Netflix or Hulu, I feel like LU would explode in popularity. Hell, I found it via the gifs of Angelico launching from Dario's ceiling, but had a hell of a time accessing the episodes.

And for a more casual fan, having it show up on a service they already have would be big.

 

I would have lost my mind at this picture a year ago. Probably my two favorite wrestlers in the world right now, can't wait to see what they do in WWE.

I wish DDT was more accessible over here, I'd even settle for like....an "MXC" type broadcast on some channel

 

I gotta admit as much as I hate I can't follow DDT and it does get hard to keep up with even NJPW.... I love that there are some wrestlers saying "Fuck WWE, I can make a good living outside there and be happier" be it in Japan or in Indies across the US.

 

I'd get a NJPW world subscription if they had a ps4 app or some kind of english page for it.

 

Doesn't JR do commentary for them now? How exactly does that work? Is it like super behind content he does commentary over?
(I use to try and follow on watchwrestling but apparently the eps in English were older)

 

I saw an episode on AXS a few weeks ago and it was from like....February maybe? I think it was Gallows and Anderson's last match

 

I'm not overly mad at a delay but of course I'd love to get it up to date. Hope NJPW does that one day, I can only think the only reason they haven't yet is cus of cost for everything involved there?

 

I don't mind the delay, considering I don't have AXS and if I were so inclined, there are ways to watch NJPW without having AXS. I imagine there's a reason for its delay, might be money like you mentioned, might be to turn people to their streaming service.

I would imagine the overall process of going from a country based promotion to a global one is a task and granted NJPW is "global" as in fans know about it worldwide it's obvious theres a difference between WWE global and anyone else "Global" haha that's where my money remark comes from... Not even so much the cost of up to date commentary but just the cost of running in general. Maybe just adding english commentary isn't that big but I mean.... it's a nod to that attempt, no?
Even in the case of the streaming service (I honestly am ignorant to it so excuse me if they already do but) wouldnt up to date English commentary help that IMMENSELY?

Hard to say. The stuff mentioned in the article about working visas and what not has me reluctant. Not sure where they go with most of the belts.

Agreed. I'd love to see their annual profits and things like that and the number of their network subscriptions. I think NJPW is at its most popular at the moment, and they don't even have a weekly television show, do they? They're probably as "global" as a non-WWE company can get.
For the sake of understanding storylines and such, English commentary would be helpful, but they need better commentators, JR sounds so bored when he does it.

 

Just got home from work and ordered some Dominos. Gonna stay up and watch the finals of the World Tag League. Anyone else tuning in?
