That would be okay but your final line isn't necessarily true.

Brock getting his win re-establishes him as the guy to conquer in the company, while at the same time showing that he isn't purely unbeatable. Other people have touched on this before, but they built Brock up SO much that anyone on the current roster defeating him really wasn't believable. Now it would be.

I'm not saying it needs to go this way, but the rematch doesn't have to end in bullshit.

 

Rusev, Dolph, Apollo, and Neville. In 6hrs of show, they have nothing for those guys?

 

The call up of Crews seems especially dumb given how thin NXT is/was (it's been better recently). Kinda tempted to throw Neville in that same space too, but I think he actually had a fine run until his injury.

 

Fair. I've seen it compared to McGregor in that the loss makes him vulnerable, but doesnt hurt drawing power. And obviously if you book Brock like McGregor has been in real life, he came back even stronger.

But Id like to see Brock like Roman/Cena this year, where they can actually lose.

 

I would had been fine with Rusev taking Reigns out last night in the middle of the match, don't know what they would had done with Apollo and Dolph aside from putting one of them on team SD instead of Shane. Why Neville isn't cruiserweighting is beyond me.

 

Would it look really bad to send someone back to NXT?

 

It's been done - they did it with Emma, Hunico/Sin Cara, even Ryder kind of

I'd say Tyson Kidd is the biggest example of it working, Ryder and Eva runners up.

 

Tyson Kidd had the best "call dowe" ever. The guy completely rebuilt himself and was the most interesting character on NXT while they were building up Sami. Going back to NXT can be a blessing

 

In most instances, I'd say so. Some logical ways I can think to do it off the top of my head:
-Organic feud started between NXT guy and main roster guy in the Dusty Classic.
-NXT getting a couple of draft picks
-Heel gets "fired" from main roster and uses loophole for NXT revenge run

 

I think the problem for me is that I don't want to see goldberg/Lesnar two more times. it was fun for a one off and to give Lesnar something to do for survivor series but my interest level for a best of 3 series is quite low

 

I don't think it is a best of 3. I think they have a showdown in the Rumble match itself, then Lesnar goes over at Mania and that's it.

 

That's what I'm thinking. They both dominate in the Rumble, but end up eliminating one another.

 

You don't even think they're gonna have a 2ND match? idk about that

I don't think Brock is an actual entrant in the Rumble match, but when Goldberg is dominating, Brock will enter from the crowd or something and eliminate him. Then Brock goes on to win at mania

The clipboard DQ still seems so insane in that match. Like, they spent a good 5-10mins where nobody was in the ring. People got put through tables. Randy interfered in Seths move, while not the legal man, after being in the ring for easily a minute.

But a clipboard hit gets a DQ...

Just glad the Wyatt's got a big PPV win for once
