One thing I've always wondered, especially when kids are in attendance... do they tell the kids what's going to happen / that they're going to lose?

Wouldn't it crush your kid to see you lose if they didn't tell you ahead of time? Wouldn't Shane's kids be bawling if they saw him jump off a 40 feet tall cell with no prior knowledge?

I feel like not telling your kids - especially when they're like 12 or younger - what's going to happen is kind of weird psychological child abuse or something lol. Remember how terrified Foley's kids and wife were during that "I Quit" match in 99? Granted he's said Rock got out of hand with more chair shots than he thought would happen, but man, seems odd if they don't tell their kids at least some of what will happen.

 

Your first paragraph had me thinking you were asking if they had people that went around and told all the kids in the arena that John Cena was going to lose before the match started, which is a hilarious concept to me.

Honestly, I'd keep kayfabe alive if I was a wrestler and my kid was young. I mean, how do NFL players handle telling their kids they lost? Of course, might be tough if Mankind and Rock are actually friends and touring and daddy's friend is savaging him with chair shots.

I think it'd be WAY harder if it was a wife. Like, imagine being Mick's wife during that. Or during HIAC. Or like if Randy was married and his wife saw him take that Lesnar shot. You know its "fake", but that also its very real.

That was his first time back in WWE since like 94 so it was a surprise pop. He was pretty popular but I think there was a pretty big degree of irony with it too because he was just so ridiculous.

 

Every time I think of him, all I think of is Steiner math.

 

He's always been so funny to me cause I loved the Steiner Bros as a little kid, they were at the first wrestling show I ever went to (Rumble 94), and when the transition to Big Poppa Pump happened in WCW I honestly didn't believe it was the same person
