We don't watch the show but my wife thinks the commercials are hilarious

 

just got to watching smackdown this week. edge looks like mick foley now

 

Again Marty and Sarah's Ryback bit continues to be the greatest thing in podcasts

Ive been rewatching a lot of KO's stuff from ROH, and it crushed me to realize the start of his turn was Manassas, VA in 2009...I was living like 5mins from there. If I had gotten back into wrestling then, Id have been able to track ROH pretty easily

 

Haha yeah my lady is from Fredricksburg then moved to MD lol (idk the distance relatively, but still DMV), she hasn't either but did say she watched it on and off here and though. It almost feels shameful... lol. Hell, at least a personal disservice.

 

Alright guys doing my monthly PPV check in, what's been going on?

 

-Undertaker returned on Smackdown and insinuated he will be around much more frequently, officially on Smackdown. Told Team SD! that they don't have to fear Raw, but if they lose, they better fear him.

-Miz took the IC strap from Ziggler on the same show, will face Zayn at Survivor Series with the implication being that if Zayn wins, Raw gets the IC title.

-Kalisto vs Kendrick is on for the Cruiserweight belt, and if Kalisto "wins", Smackdown gets the title and the division. This seems very likely given the fact that 205 Live debuts soon, a one hour Cruiserweight only show on the Network to be taped immediately following Smackdown!. Also, no one has yet explicitly said Kalisto needs to win the belt, just the match.

-Goldberg has cited being in pain after both his initial tussle with Rusev, and the non-encounter he had with Brock on Monday. Some think this is to cover his ass in the event of a poor performance, my "three shots of vodka optimism" is hoping he's working us and planning to give us a show on Sunday.

-No real stakes, otherwise. The multi-man matches have been billed as being for "bragging rights". Undertaker isn't booked to appear.

-Don't be a "once a month" Jabroni. Watch Smackdown! only. It's what I do, and I am the coolest.

 

On my way there. I can skim through RAW and get 2.5hrs of my life back each week if it keeps being garbage through Roadblock. And if Roman takes both titles...

 

Pentagon entering and kicking Matanza in the head to start the super kick party was great. And then PJ Black leading into the Tower of Woe/Coast-to-Coast combo.

And that Crane finisher is crazy. Double underhook piledriver...

I now understand how Sexy Star won the LU title...saw the spoiler way back and had no idea how. That was incredible.

 

So they scrapped the whole "winning team gets to add members to the brand" stipulation for SS? I haven't really been paying attention

 

i dont think they ever said that. That was something boards were simply speculating on.

This feels like something Dash/Dawson would do

 

WM 33 is going to be a circus based on the four matches I just saw that are planned to happen.

 

Anything different than the usual Taker/Cena, Seth/HHH, Show/Shaq, Shane/Lesnar matches?

Cause aside from Show/Shaq, which, who cares really...the rest could be entertaining.

 

That's what I saw. Honestly, HHH/Rollins is the only one that I see being a good match. But I guess entertaining is a better word for the event.

 

Taker/Cena could absolutely be a solid match, not high workrate obviously but good psychology.

 

What do they do with Goldberg after Sunday? I wonder if this is a one time thing...

 

He's said its a one time thing. Doing it for his son.

 

He probably won't be in any condition to do much else after Sunday anyway

 

The simplest approach is to have him lose, come out on raw the next night to retire, lesnar can mock him for heel heat or shake his hand, move on/spear...and then we see him either interfere in some match one more time and then hall of fame and then that's it.


or maybe sting, i dont know

 

They want Goldberg to work more, if this goes well.

 

I would think that he would fit into WM somehow. It seems like a lot of effort for a one time thing that I would imagine would have been saved for WM if that was the case.
