Cena was out from the start. Im still surprised Orton is on the team, to be honest.

But yeah, if you're denying Miz, why would you put anyone but Corbin in that spot? You gonna pick Crews (who Corbin crushed)? Or Swagger (who Corbin crushed)? There's nobody else as a face who has a claim.

 

Are the teams set? i didn't watch either show

 

RAW team is KO/Jericho/Reigns/Strouman (though, the Strouman title said he was the final member...). Gotta presume #5 is Rollins.

Smackdown team is "officially" AJ/Dean/Bray/Orton/Corbin.

 

That's still awful.

That might have been my favorite match I've ever seen from Dean.

 

Makes me want a Bray v AJ title feud, based on how AJ has elevated everyone. He clearly brings out the best and people, and will literally do any storyline.

In a way, if Bray cant become Smackdown champ, I doubt he ever will be

 

Given everyone is expecting Orton to eventually turn on Bray, I hope they have Bray counter the betrayal in some way. Randy turning on Bray is a telegraphed performance that makes Bray look like an idiot. But Bray leading Randy on, making him think he has the upper hand when really Bray is in complete control of the situation, laying a snake trap that Randy will foolishly and arrogantly stumble into... now there is a story.

 

Orton betraying his friends is basically his gimmick. He's the opposite of Sting.

 

Smackdown Live Thoughts/Reactions
- Hulu needs to get their shit together and get these shows up by the morning. I only got so much time and finding an awful stream on PS4 is difficult. Ellsworth getting a pop to start the show is so great. This dude is just so over. Don't leave Ellsworth! Omg Ambrose don't kill him he's fragile. Ellsworth needs New Day's time machine. Hook a brotha up guys.

- Truly can't believe that Kane is in a pure babyface role in 2016. Truly can'y believe Kane is being used in a major storyline in 2016. At least they kept this segment short. Harper just staring at Orton as he does his pose in the corner is interesting. Seems like he's not fully convinced about Orton while Bray has bought in. I wonder if they do Orton/Harper at TLC and hold off Bray for the Rumble.

- Cool Baron Corbin promo. Hope the Women's title match main events next week. They've been promoting it hard, and with how well they've handled the division it feels like a real possibility. Damn Alexa using the ddt as a straight finish is awesome. The heels defending their brand is so weird. I guess they can be proud of where they're from, but why call out the top heel on the other show? Seems like a strange thing to do. I love that Natty just hangs around the office just waiting for a moment to swoop in. Its really sitcommy, but I think it works.

- Alpha is back! Alpha wins! Bryan will never not be the most over dude in the company. God they missed so hard with him. This segment is so great. Miz and Maryse's face when they weren't on the team was hilarious. Ugh Curt Hawkins. He's just gonna do Curt Hawkins things and it will be unenjoyable. Oh hey he had a match and lost. Awesome. Just Curt Hawkins things! Miz is going to Raw and then challenging for the IC title.

- Is Dasha Fuentes' gimmick being Mike Adamle or is she just bad at her job? The SS tag match graphic looks absolutely ridiculous. "Any man with two hands can call an Uber and get a ride outta here." God Bless you Dean. Ellsworth what are you doing?!? Leave! YOU IDIOT! Ellsworth running from security is a hell of a visual. He helped Dean win! Over the past few weeks Ambrose has been proving how good he really is. Crowd was fully behind him by the end of it. Ellsworth's face at the end lol.

WWE has reversed course on two of their recent trademark filings. PWInsider reports that the company has abandoned their requests for trademarks on Drew Gulak and Tony Nese.

The filings were just reported yesterday as part of a batch of filings alongside Bobby Roode, TJ Perkins and others. Neither Nese or Gulak are currently signed to WWE deals.

 

I don't know if anyone is following Progress, but the situation they got put in, not sure how much of it is kayfabe, is pretty shitty. Mark Haskins won the belt off of Scurll, defended his title, and then left the belt in the ring saying he wasn't sure if he'd ever wrestle again. The way they are approaching it is pretty interesting.

 

Weekly live Cruiserweight show "205 Live" debuts 11/29 after smackdown. Talking Smack pushed back an hour

Commentary by Mauro and Graves! I like the team a lot but also feel weird because I still think RAW and SD should be as separate as possible.

I'm paying for one show a week and one/two a month at this point. Any justification for my $10 is fine by me.
