    A DILAPIDATED BOAT! Prestigious

So there's talk from WON of a "provisional" card for Final Battle after this recent set of ROH tapings.

It's looking like it's most likely going to be:
Adam Cole (c) vs Kyle O'Reilly for the ROH World title
Young Bucks (c) vs The Briscoes vs Colt Cabana and Dalton Castle for the ROH World Tag Team titles
Bobby Fish (c) vs Hangman Page for the ROH World TV title
The Addiction and Kamaitachi vs ACH, Jay White, and Kushida possibly for the new ROH World Six Man Tag Team titles
    Cody Rhodes vs Jay Lethal
BJ Whitmer vs Steve Corino in what will probably be a loser leaves town no DQ/fight without honor match
Will Ospreay, Marty Scurll, and Dragon Lee are also expected to appear. No word on MCMG, War Machine, The Kingdom, or The Cabinet.

Great card so hopefully they don't make any changes. Jay Lethal's supposed opponent is such a great choice, especially considering Lethal's gimmick.

I wish I could come up with a wrestling costume that would top what I went as last year for Halloween

Yep, if Im WWE, I offer them $1 for the company and wait for the bankruptcy. Especially since the state of Tennessee, if it seizes it, will sell it off pretty cheap to them.

Was he really your brother then? If wrestling has taught me anything, it means their's a heel turn coming...

I do wish they were faster on their DVD turnaround, considering what ive heared of the matches.

The brand that wins the SS match (I'm assuming the main match) gets a trophy and gets to choose three superstars that switch brands. I don't know if that means they can give up one of their own to the other brand or not, but moves will be made.

So how bad does the WWE get after Vince buys WCW? I am watching for the first time from 2001 on, as I stopped watching wrestling at some point in 2000. I am in April of 2001 right now. I know from reading that everyone panned the Invasion angle. When do I have to look forward to it picking up in quality?

it would make more sense if it was one from each match. so if smackdown wins the 5v5 male match they get one of the raw losers. same with the tag teams and women

The Invasion angle featured some good matches involving Angle, Austin, Jericho, and RVD but yes it was an overall disappointment. In my opinion, it gets better towards the end of summer 2002 with the beginning of the HHH/HBK feud on Raw and Paul Heyman's takeover of Smackdown as head writer.

Thanks for the answer. I forgot that they did a brand split then. Guess I will have to start watching Smackdown then which I have really been skipping in my viewing.

Trying to think of who would make those switches.

Ideally they'd move the Sheamus/Cesaro tag to Smackdown, and maybe move Carmella and Apollo Crews to RAW.

Other option would be RAW gets a tag team (VV maybe?), Smackdown gets Emma or Nia and Cesaro or Sami.

Sami needs Smackdown more than anyone else, getting that big decisive win over KO and then doing nothing but losing to Jericho ever since is probably my least favorite booking of anything since Mania.

2001-2007 is a really interesting time for the company. Don't completely crap over it before you start watching, it's fascinating at the very least. You'll get to see Eddie Guerrero at his best, you'll get to see the match quality improve dramatically, and they still throw in some AE-level attempts at crazy storylines.

The invasion angle is botched as we all know. NWO is botched as we all know. But there's also stuff like Edge, Lesnar, the beginning stages of Evolution, the women's "wrestling" division isn't as bad as people make it out to be, and you still have staples like Jim Ross, Angle, HBK, Taker etc to keep you entertained.

  22. Even though overall, the mid 2000s has some of WWE's worst stuff, I think there is some great stuff to look for in the early part of the decade. Paul Heyman was writing Smackdowns and to this day, it is some of the best television WWE has ever put out. At the time of the brand split, Smackdown had Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Edge, Rey Mysterio, Chavo/Eddie Guerrero, John Cena, The Rock, Billy Kidman, Jamie Noble, Undertaker, Edge, Big Show and Brock Lesnar, plus a bunch of others. There were some huge misses (i.e.: Billy and Chuck's gay wedding) but overall he helped elevate a lot of those guys to main event status and they put on some great shows. Survivor Series 2002 (the original Elimination Chamber) is still a top five PPV for me personally and maybe like top 10 all time.

Now I was in high school for the stuff after that, around 2003/2004, so I remember it being a little more enjoyable than most... but that could be my mind playing tricks on me because of the age I was and stuff. I do know that I stopped watching in 2004 and that some of the stuff I've seem from 2005-2008 on the Network is absolutely terrible.
