Reports coming out that Corgan bought TNA and will rebrand it from the ground up, and WWE will acquire the tape library for all things branded TNA. There have been crazier years in wrestling, but this has got to be the best one to be a fan. So much exciting stuff.

 

Such a win-win scenario. WWE expands it's ever growing Network with a plethora of footage, Corgan takes over in his new direction, and no one is left unemployed.

 

It's mostly great because they can start putting together video packages to showcase guys like Aries and Roode.

 

Yeah that is the best possible scenario for both parties. TNA gets to throw off a tarnished brand and start from scratch, and WWE gets to expand their video library.

 

Yeah exactly, plus if they ever wanted to do so for AJ or Joe. Can't wait to watch some old Angle/Joe matches.

 

I'm still aware of mostly the important issues going on between my friends telling me, this message board, and listening to Cheap Heat. But I don't go out of my way to scroll through websites like Wrestlezone anymore.

 

If they follow same pattern they did after they obtained the WCW tape library there is going to be period the next few years where they start hiring even more current and former TNA talent than they already have.

Would not be shocked now if Christopher Daniels gets a WWE run before he retires (which he deserves because he's incredible).

 

Daniels is a national treasure.

 

That's the type of match that doesn't need to be made official.

 

It would also be cool to see Motor City Machine Guns eventually get a WWE run too.

I'd love this so much. And it definitely doesn't have anything to do with them being from my area.

 

I forgot where i read it but I heard awhile back that while in TNA Kevin Nash pitched the idea for a Michigan themed stable with him, Rhyno, and MCMG.

 

what ruined the Spirit Squad showing last night was the crowd having absolutely no fucking clue who they were. made it super awkward and sucked the fun out of it for me. guess that's what happens when the fanbase is mostly comprised of sixth graders.

 

I wanna thank you for the rec. I watched the Rumble one and the first part of No Way Out last night before falling asleep. The bitter irony unfortunately is WWE has deleted over 200,000 YouTube videos over copyright claims including all of OSW Review. I appreciate what little time I had.

Yeah man they have their website which will play every episode, that's usually what I do because youtube is so wonky. All the stuff they have done is pure quality so enjoy. Very knowledgeable and funny guys.

I recommend everyone in this thread check out OSW review. I don't see how any of you wouldn't love it.

 

Also, WWE can start acknowledging the TNA title runs, because they are no longer a competitor. Which will be good for them with AJ already a thing and Samoa Joe presumably moving up soon

 

I guess this is a legal question but buying the video library also mean buying the all the copyrights too? I mean it'd be a little weird if they air Impact on the Network but can't use any of the logos and have to censor the words "TNA".

 

I imagine that WWE bought TNA the brand. Corgan got TNA the touring/taping product that comes with wrestler contracts
