I feel like this match should've been way more hyped than it was

 

Really thought he had him on that Zig-Zag.

That said, Ziggler basically has no finisher now. He cant beat a worn down Miz with his standard finish...and even his superkick doesnt finish 100%. He basically needs a new finisher, or some new combo.

 

If Ambrose goes over Cena clean on Smackdown, it'll be one of the craziest things ever. Kind of hard to hype it when its non-title and the odds that it ends clean are about 0.1%

 

I guess something is better than nothing, I had no idea it was even the main event until a minute or two before it was happening lol

 

wow, did not see that coming

 

I guess they gotta make Ambrose look strong for future title storylines

 

I just want heel Ambrose already

 

Well they made up for tonight being a random unknown main event I guess lol

 

Cena's lost his last two singles matches clean

 

amazing what having Cena willing to eat pins does for Smackdown. Boosted the hell out of AJ...and now next weeks main event feels like a Summerslam headliner as both dudes beat Cena clean.

 

If the pay off is cena 16 then I guess it's really irrelevant in the end either way

I honestly don't know how I manage it. Guess it's easy when you don't have anything to do beyond 8 pm.

Watched the Nitro from the night after Bash at the Beach 97 and holy shit there's like 8 elderly people front row ringside that look so confused and disgusted, electric TV

 

John Cena has now gone a calendar year without a PPV singles win (Del Rio at HIAC, Styles at MITB, Styles at SS). And by the time No Mercy rolls around, he'll be over 400 days between heavyweight title shots.

The amazing thing is thinking he hasnt really won a PPV feud since KO, and yet he still seems untouchable

 

cena can lose for the next three years and it will still seem shocking. 10+ years of super cena gets you that luxury

 

Cena must be in the doghouse otherwise they would never bury him! /s

Hulu Smackdown thoughts:
- Alexa Bliss fucking rules.
- So does Miz have to defend the title on a weekly basis now? Would be sweet to have an Intercontinental Championship open challenge.
- RIP GOING HARD IN THE PAINT. Wasn't it 3 weeks ago when Alpha died? Why does Jason Jordan sound like a preacher? The Usos are fantastic heels. They're showing so much old school tactics which is why they're working so well. I was really afraid they were gonna basically stay the same in how they wrestled and would have trouble getting booed. These two are going to be having some incredible title matches in the future. Loved the story telling on Jordan not tagging Gable in. Fun match. lol Gable looking at Jordan after the match like his lover died in a war
- Heath Slater is Smackdown. DONT YOU TOUCH THOSE CRACKERS UCE
- Love Crews' aggression in this match. He needs this to prevent becoming Apollo Maivia. I can't believe they're rolling with Swagger for this. Corbin is showing just how much upside he has though.
- Hawkins should change his name to Chuck Hawkins or Curt Norris
- I honestly don't think Dolph is that good of a promo. Sure he has passion and believes every word he says, but he speaks like he's in a bad 80's action movie
- Who would've ever thought that the Miz would ever get over by a scathing promo on Daniel Bryan? That may be the most shocking moment of the year. I've seen the Miz/Ziggler match so many times that I've become numb to watching it. Always fun, always the same though

- I really don't care about this Orton/Wyatt thing.
- "Are you feeling it now Mr. Krabs?" "Feeling what?" "The Glow." "Oh yes, I am feeling it now, Spongebob"
- I feel like Ambrose and Cena could have a really fun run with the tag titles together. Otherwise, good match. Love the roll up finish. When these two are feuding in like a month, its going to be a damn blast. I feel like its another feud Cena is going to lose which finally culminates in his run for the title in 2017.

I thought this was a good show, but not as strong as previous ones. Maybe I'm just real tired, but I felt in dragged just a little bit, but also the second hour was rushed which is weird to say. Cena is fucking great, Ambrose will be back to being cheered in no time. I love that they start promoting stuff the week prior. Now to Talking Smack...

 

Sadly, Cena disappears after No Mercy to film American Grit. He might show up at Survivor Series, but its gonna be for a match with no build. More likely, its as the last entrant into the SS match.

He wont be back til like December if I read correctly.
