Kind of thought Mick was gonna put the claw on Seth for a second.

 

Catching up on Raw now. Dana Brooke screaming "No hi-fives" at Bayley was phenomenal.

Edit: I know some of you guys weren't down with Bayley taking the pin, but I thought they handled the ending to that really well. Loved the final pin combination of Sasha rolling up Bayley after she had Dana pinned and presumably put away. I don't think it makes Bayley or Dana look weak. Overall thought it was a really good match. Probably just gonna skip to the main event now, though...

Edit 2: Well, Rusev definitely wasn't slacking off at the gym during the honeymoon. Dude is a beast.

 

Doing some more nostalgia on the Network. How about the Crash Holly 24/7 Hardcore Title rules? Man, that was fun.

So I just watched Backlash and I thought it was fine, a bit confused as to why they had Kane go over Bray but that was really my only nitpick with that PPV. However I think Dean Ambrose needs to rework his moveset. I get that his gimmick is likely to fail due to the PG era but at least his moveset should have a little more variety for someone with such an "unorthodox" style of wrestling. I mean for real as good as the AJ Styles vs Dean Ambrose match was it should have been much better but Ambrose's lack of exciting moves really hindered his World Championship reign after the Shield triple threat. Dirty Deeds as a decent finisher for him because he can make it come from out of nowhere sometimes but he needs to have more exciting moves than just having a flying elbow, ricochet lariat, and a DDT.

 

don't know why people were upset. we all know dana sucks - her taking the pin means nothing. and this kayfabe puts bayley a tier below sasha and charlotte, which gives her something to chase

 

People weren't expecting rusev? This raw was a drag. The thin rosters really eliminates so many possibilities for endings....fuck this brand split

 

KO and Roman have great chemistry in the ring, and no matter how much I'd like to see them in a title match, THANK FUCKING GOD for that Rusev ending.

 

I agree with whoever said Mick Foley was annoying. Every week he stumbles out and points his finger at people telling them what match they are about to be in against their wishes. I mean, I know that's kinda his role as GM but it's so overdone. "I'll tell you what I'm gonna do!!!!"

Also, I thought Seth was slowly turning face but I guess not. I really have no clue what they're doing with these characters.

 

Foley will probably make ge title match no DQ now setting up HHH interference

 

Once I saw the Sami/Jericho match was made, knew it had to be Rusev for the ending. That said, the match was still pretty solid, and having Seth interfere means they could add an interesting stipulation.

Also, didnt have to see Stephanie, so that was great

 

So Paige got "Alberto" tattooed on her ribs

 

I am the same age as Paige and I literally can't fathom getting the gimmick name of a man 15 years older than me who is actively proving he is adulterous by cheating on his wife with me tattooed on my ribs. Some decisions are just objectively bad.

 

It's his middle name, and more than likely what he goes by in real life. Not to mention him and his wife were separated since June '15 according to Del Rio. I'm not going to judge her life choices, yeah it sucks that she probably won't be in WWE anymore because of all this, but it's not my place to say she's right or wrong

Just caught the Nia Jax/Alicia Fox segment. Nia went in, hahaha. Props to Foxy for taking those bumps.

 

The swings against the wall looked brutal. They made louder thuds than some of the ones Roman/KO took later on

 

Raw has really suffered since the brand split. Obviously SD is better, but it really had nowhere to go but up.
