Cesaro and Miz are gonna to swap brands by Survivor Series

 

This was amazing. For me this was really tough to watch as a Bryan fan. Even if this was 100% planned it couldn't have been easy for him to sit there and take that. I give Miz so much credit for delivering that with as much passion as he did. You could tell he was working out a lot of real life frustration with fan perception of him.

Between this, Carmella attacking Nikki on the talking smack set, the awesome through line throughout the show, and the excellent matches, Smackdown wins another week. If you're a wrestling fan and you're not watching Smackdown and Talking Smack, you're missing out. It's the best main roster content WWE produces on a weekly basis.

 

The Miz is great

 

I've really, really enjoyed the Miz over the past few months, they brought back Maryse at just the right time to keep his schtick entertaining.

Miz is one of the five best characters in the company right now - just wish his in-ring work wasn't so bland

 

I wonder if Bryan went off script with a couple of those lines (I don't like the way you wrestle), and the Miz really took it tomo heart and worked some legit frustration it.

did not watch sd at all but i had to come here to say that talking smack segment was unbelievable

 

What are the chances creative actually takes that and runs with it? Or will we just get another stupid/meaningless feud for the IC title?

Fuck that was a great, great promo.

I don't even think the Miz is as bad as he's made out to be in the ring, maybe during his main event run. But his psychology is solid.

Promo of the Year material there.

 

That reminds me of an old school territory style promo and I'm 110% here for it.

 

Miz knocked that out of the park and made me feel bad for DB at the same time...not many guys can do that

 

The Miz has always been extremely underrated. There isn't a whole lot of heels that can make you despise them and get almost anyone that goes up against them over. Hell, I'm pretty sure he could've gotten Reigns cheered more if they feuded. His in-ring isn't the best, but he's improved a lot, and I can totally see him being back in the main event on Smackdown eventually when they need to get a new face over.

 

So glad Rhyno and Heath are teaming. More because it gives the gore machine something to do but Heath should also make things really entertaining. Calling Heath and Rhyno to have an underdog run where they lose at Backlash but Heath gets signed anyway because he showed "great heart". For the first round Heath kind of acts like a coward for most of the match but at some point Rhyno gets taken out and Heath gets a good flurry of offense in before getting the shit beat outta him. Just before he's about to be pinned Rhyno nails a gore and Heath gets the pin. Semifinals come around and they start working great as a team with coordinated moves and stuff, Heath gets the win by Impaler DDT. Backlash comes around and they try everything, dirty pins, Gores, Rhyno attempts to hit the Rhyno Driver (fails) they both try to pay homage to the Dudleys by hitting a 3D, but it just isn't enough to beat American Alpha and in the end Heath eats the pin.

Yeah, The Miz just put himself into another league. I think people saying it tops the pipebomb after a few hours are nuts, but I think this promo was more effective in some ways because Punk's teetered on the brink of whining, whereas Miz just flat out defended himself and made no apologies. This is the new kayfabe, not bare elbows to Orton's forehead. SmackDown is appointment viewing for me at this point.

 

Better than most fantasy booking stuff on reddit tbh, and this is coming from someone who often thinks your ideas are garbage
