That 'big sweaty men' comment is 100% the opposite of what the WWE should be doing right now. You announce you are going to use LGBT characters, and that is the shit you lead with? Come on man.

 

There is 0% chance any LGBT character is anything but a punchline as long as Vince is still around.

 

I knew as soon as they announced it that it's very unlikely they're going to take it seriously. Lest we forget the Billy & Chuck saga of the early 2000's where Billy Gunn and Chuck Palumbo were slowly built as a gay couple and were going to have wrestling's first gay wedding. GLAAD consulted with them on the angle, praised it as WWE moving into a progressive direction, and helped WWE get mainstream publicity for the angle.

As the wedding segment was happening Billy and Chuck revealed they were not actually gay (to a gross huge pop from the crowd) and that it was actually a publicity stunt orchestrated by their gay heel manager. GLAAD then denouced WWE for securing their assistance under false pretenses. "The WWE lied to us two months ago when they promised that Billy and Chuck would come out and wed on the air."

 

WWE, progressive as ever.

Women's and Tag I assume

 

Would love if they brought back the old Tag Team titles instead of those 2 Penny Belts on RAW. I'll even take the previous Smackdown Era belts.

 

I think I'm one of the few people who honestly wouldn't mind all the belts to be the same general design as the World/Universal/Women's belts, but in varying colors to distinguish them. I like the uniformity of it.

I'd like it if the Women's belt was the Raw one but blue, but a different tag belt design please, I don't like the current one.

Not sure if every title should be the same, but the titles of equal importance should. So the World/Universe would be the same, IC/US the same etc.

 

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I really like how all of the UFC's titles are the same exact design. And I think the current WWE and Women's titles are a really sharp design.

I meant make all the titles across the board be like the WWE/Women's/Universal title. Not make the tag belts both look like the current tag belts. I think the current tag belts need an overhaul too.

That's probably a better inclination than mine.

 

I hope the SD tag titles look like quarters instead of pennies

Honestly, Smackdown is becoming the better show already with less of a roster. It's forcing them to build on who they have. The tag and women's divisions are actually solid on there.
